Today a fellow 66 WHM on asura told me that to beat maat he basically 'tricked' maat and won. He said he went in, did Divine Seal, Benediction, and then as many cure V's as he could get off and he won without maat even attacking him. Of course I have no proof at all of this... but is this even possible??

You have to cure him to death basicly..
His HP wont go down, but after a certain amout of cures on him he'll give up.Comment

I suppose you could chug poison potions and cure yourself.

CURE TO WIN?/ I thought you were supposed to beat him senseless with whatever twig (staff or club) you had and stay alive at the sametime. granted I don't play WHM as main but RDM...I use WHM as main sub.Comment

Hey dumb question here. Why do whm's fight Maat? What lvl do you need to be? Where do you fight him? Is it a quest or something? Just never really found out I guess......

Its Genkai V quest. You must beat him to continue lvling past 70. To beat him you don't have to do physical dmg, just cure some amount.Comment

You cure yourself. Maat is an evil, dispicable, cruel old man in Ru'lade Gardens in Jeuno (don't be fooled by his generous grandpa appearance).
