At my level I'm a fan of witchkabobs, but they are too pricey for lower levels. I would go with Bubble chocolate if you're poor, as they are super cheap and the mp regen while healing helps a lot, or Roast Mushrooms for more general use food. I still use Roast Mushrooms a lot to be honest.

I like goblin chocalate when I see it in the starting towns. Can usually get stack of 12 for 1k-1.5k and gives you +2mp per tick.

Depending on your race and play style, you may find different foods more suitable.

Taru/Hume/Mithra have adequate MP pools. Generally speaking, I've found that MP recovery food (especially the recently introduced Hobgoblin Chocolate!) is more useful than +MPMax food such as pies, and the better hume and mithra white mages I've spoken to are in general agreement on this. The higher level you get, the more true this becomes.

Galka and Elvaan mages, on the other hand, may find that until they acquire their RSE gear to catch up (or spend tons of gil on the high end HP->MP gear), +MPMax pies or Roast Mushroom/Witchkabob may work better in conjunction with some juicing. This is undeniably more expensive than Taru/Hume/Mithra, but that's the price you pay (pardon the pun) for playing as a race which isn't as well suited to magic.

As with so many things, your mileage may vary based on your own playing style.

yeah, except he's low lvl  I found that various juices are quite useful in cutting down resting time (orange, apple, pineapple etc) while they dont add to your overall pool of MP, they help keep it up and running longer

doesn't the roast mushroom give +2 mp per tick? it also has a small mp bonus and mind bonus too, so its a nice choice, though somewhat expensive early on at roughly 6k per stack.

if you use juices, i suggest going for pineapple juice. it restores about 90mp for an average of 300g per juice, but at a rate of 1mp per tick. melon restores about 80mp, but at a rate of 2 per tick, but those are about 800g on average.

At lower levels +MaxMP foods would benefit you more than +MP while recovering foods would, imo. I'd say use Pumpkin Pies (+40MP) until lvl 40 or so then switch up to Roast Mushrooms or Witchkabobs.

I love Roasted Mushrooms and Witch kabobs.

I didnt use food a lot at lower levels but in retrospect I wish I had used Apple pies at lower levels. That extra MP really goes a long way when youre below level 20, they are also pretty cheap, under 200gil on my server and they stack nicely.

Get up your cooking skill so once you reach kazham you can do pinneapple juice. Pinneapples are super cheap there and since EXP flows in Kazham its nice to have constant MP.

at lvl 51 I use the mushtrooms and kabobs because my cooking skill is good and I can just make these, and mushrooms are pretty easy to farm (and theyre cheap). I always look at the baazars of West Ronfaure players because they usually price mushrooms cheaply. A stack of mushrooms is just 2,400 on my server and thats pretty much chump change for 3 hours of roasted mushrooms worth.

I craft on firesday so I can get more witchkabobs and save those for great parties O

Around level 40 I traded in all my MND gear for more MP gear so the little extra MND is nice ;(
