FYI it's 3.3-3.5 mil on Bismarck. And it's worth it. There's a reason most high level whm's have it. Not to mention paladins as well. Blm's get lucky in their super cheap Black Cloaks.

Though I strongly agree with Koban. Dark and Light staves are a must first. I like the - emnity from my af, but as with Koban I don't really have hate issues with my set pt, and think the extra refresh would benefit us more.

Arturo-B i'm not sure that I understand you. First you say this about the Vermillion Cloak :

It's about 1/3 as fast as rdm refresh. That's not to say it's not good, but it's not going to replace a rdm or brd.

Then you later go on to say that it really is "that" good and is worth 3+million gil.

When making an argument you should stick to one side. I find "not to say it's not good" and "it really is that good" to be two different things.

You absolutely do not need a Vermillion Cloak which is what i said. Missing out on 20 mp a minute is not gonna make you that much worse. There are other priorities before a vermillion cloak. But hey if you've 2 mill 3 mill or whatever to burn then whatever.

If you read the original post you'll see that he thought it was the same as rdm refresh. It is not. You'll also see me say that it is still good. By saying really is that good I thought it was clear in my referring to it being good enough to warrant the price, which I stand by.

Do you need it? Absolutely not. One of the few things that's really a need for a whm I think is a dark staff. Without it your xp ability is really curtailed. Is it worth the money? I say yes.

Should you get a dark staff and a light staff first? Most certainly. But a vermillion cloak is a great thing, and I'd feel the next thing to buy after these 2 items (this assumes of course you have expected things, like erase, raises 2, etc., these are simply musts if you want to xp past 56-60.).

Should he skip his AF3 in favor of farming a vermillion? No way. AF3 does look nice, and the emnity has it's uses. The battle really isn't all that hard either if you can get a good blink tank. But is a vermillion a waste and something that should not be striven for? I don't agree with that.

Healer's Briault is great, enfeebling is a WHMs job when a RDM isn't around seeing as how I can make Paralyze and Slow stick most of the time, and personally, if I'm a WHM, I grab a BRD, or a RDM, not both for my group.

Vermillion CLoak is worth it, but it's more of a major luxury than anything else, and did I mention Noble's Tunic is practically impossible to get? ; ;
