lvl 59 refresh robe

I was getting nearer and nearer to 59 and then i saw there's this robe on sale.. wow 'refresh'. On 2nd look acks. no headgear allowed and whoppie 2million gil on my server!!!

I know at 58 we can do our AF robe but it's a very hard thing probably one of the hardest af3 and i know with my LS strength,, there's no way i can do it when i hit 58 or even at 60.

This innate refresh i believe is same as what RDM can gives and it stacks further with the spell effect, which is doubly good.

Only problem is saving up that 2,000,000 gils for it and i know i can do it if i farm for 3 weeks or so, or maybe lesser if i got lucky. Is this robe worth the effort? or is there something i miss like the effect is not as great?

Its only 1 mp every 3 seconds, so 20 mp a minute, 1,200 mp an hour it supplies. Get yourself a Dark Staff for 350-450k and you shouldn't have any mp problems that the cloak would really make a difference for. With a Dark Staff and some +mp regen food, I'm rarely the one slowing down the pulls anymore.

It's about 1/3 as fast as rdm refresh. That's not to say it's not good, but it's not going to replace a rdm or brd.

a balanced lv ~58-60 alliance will be able to kill our af3 mob. the key is loads of whitemages. ^^

i own the vermillion cloak, its quite nice. but you really should get the af3 first and enjoy that. the af3 Nm isnt as hard as people make him out to be, tons of whm casting cure IV and V on him mess him up good, just keep the tank alive and nuke cure away. do a shout in jeuno for help, they're really are lots of nice people on in this game who love joining alliances and kicking some NMs butt. enjoy your af3 bp til you get that point where you can wear whm JSE, but then realize no one ever sells a noble tunic, then you get a vermillion^^

Im on Asura also and i have Vermillion Cloak. Lets just say with a rdm or brd downtime is 0 with Vermillion cloak and Dark staff. With this setup you get about 60+ mp per tick when resting. I also use Chocolet bubbles which is 4+mp when healing so i get a lot of MP back when healing. With blm sub and refresh/vermillion cloak cost of spells = 0 for cure and about 8 or so somtimes with cure 2. By the time you recast you have the mp back.

At lvl 60 i have 814 MP after chain 4-5 i still have 600+mp rest for 1+ min back to 750-800mp ready for the next Chain.

AF3 for whm isnt all that great stat wise. AF3 mob isnt hard did it with only 2 whm's and 12 people 55-60 Only one death. Key is Ninja tank but he died when the NM only had about 4% hp left lol.

ROFL! Do you know where the item to make that cloak drops? King Behemoth and Suzaku. And it's a rare drop. That cloak can name it's price on any server. Expect 10mil + if anyone was stupid enough to sell it.

The point is that you stack the refreshes. 4 mp a tick instead of 3 mp a tick means faster mp regen, and thus faster chains, farming, etc, you name it. This is not a minimal difference. It is multiple millions because it's worth those millions (well, that and damascene cloth isn't all that common lol).

Noble's Tunic is Rare due to the items needed to make and no one sells it. Only one sold on Asura for 15million. Vermillion Cloak is the best Armor till 73. Whm AF3 is crap. Also anyone who thinks this Cloak is Worse than the WHM AF3 is totaly lost.

-4enmity and +10 enfeebling skill both come in very handy. a vermillion is nice, but its certainly not something you need, especially if youre not up to date on spells/carrying elemental staves. theres a bunch of things you should get ahead of a verm.

at any rate, a vermillion isnt particularly more useful than the AF, they both have their uses.

-4enmity and +10 enfeebling ? Enfeebling isnt a WHM job. As for Enmity i dont need it due to i never get hit in my Static PT. So +10 to enfeebling is better than "refresh" hmm i dont see how. One thing is that Drk/light staff and spells should be had before Vermillion. But if you are updated Vermillion is the better choice if you ask me. Not saying way one is wrong nor right here. Its all base on the player.


My Enfeebling is maxed for my lvl and i have a static RDM in my PT. So maybe for some the AF3 is better for them. Just not for me.
I would take the Vermillion Cloak over AF3 any day.
