  • MP Gained per heal tick

    How is the mp you gain per initial heal tick calculated. Last night I just noticed while lvling my blm sub the first tick is different for my 29 blm and my 55 whm.

    First tick on blm as lvl 29 is 15, then 16 (didn't check beyond that).
    First tick on whm as 55 is 21, then 22 (again didn't check beyond that).
    First tick on whm with DarkStaff is 31 as expected.

    I tried switching to melee subs as well to see if maybe clear mind stacked, but it stayed the same on both. Is this deteremined by some stat like mnd/int or does it just mysteriously increase at certain lvls? How much mp do some of you lvl 60-75 mages get on your first tick without gear?

    From what me haves read, different jobs get 'Clear Mind' effect ats different levels. Clear Mind seems to be bonus MP.

    Clear Mind also gets better at certain levels.

    Sitting MP - 12mp

    Clear Mind 1 - 3mp
    Black Mage: lvl15
    Summoner: lvl15
    White Mage: lvl20
    Red Mage: lvl31

    Clear Mind 2 - 6mp
    Black Mage: lvl30
    Summoner: lvl30
    White Mage: lvl35
    Red Mage: lvl75

    Clear Mind 3 - 9mp
    Black Mage: lvl45
    Summoner: lvl45
    White Mage: lvl50

    Clear Mind 4 - 12mp
    Black Mage: lvl60
    Summoner: lvl60
    White Mage: lvl65

    Clear Mind 5 - 15mp
    Black Mage: lvl70
    Summoner: lvl70
    White Mage: lvl75

    Blm 29. Base mp regen + Clear Mind 1 = 15mp

    Whm 55 Base mp regen + Clear Mind 3 = 21mp

      Ther other part to resting is each tick gives +1 more to it's previous tick. So if you start and your first tick is 21, the second will be 22, 3rd 23, 4th 24, 5th 25, 6th 26, 7th 27, etc...

      Once you get up and rest again it'll start over at your first tick 21.

      When you get a raise to reduce the time you make a party wait for you to recover the best thing to do is get some were you can rest as soon as possible. The heal you get per tick will continue to stack so when raise sickness wears off you'll be recovering 60+ hp/mp per tick.

        When you heal, the MP gained per click increases with each click. Also, the MP gained in the initial click can be increases by food, gear, and/or the clear mind job trait.

        Food such as chocolate, chocolate milk, and roasted mushrooms increases.

        Gears such as dark staff and Errant Houppelande.

        Also, passive job traits of the same type (e.g. clear mind and clear mind II) do not stack. The higher level one would always over write the lower one. So if you already get the trait from your main, you sub won't make a difference.

          The different clear mind lvls is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you very much Rooke. Already knew about it increasing 1 per tick as I even mentioned in my example. Was just curious about the first tick amount.
