WHM Equipment. Level 50->Full AF

Hi all.

After the excellent advice give to me by this Forum on equipment 40-50 I am back again after completing limit 1 to ask for some more.

What does everybody recommend for equipment between 50 and gaining your full AF?

The good stuff I currently have is:
Body = Holy Breastplate.
Legs = RSE
Shield = Frost Shield
Weapon = AF1

The rest is standard lvl 30ish equipment which is badly in need of updating.

Sell everything you have for a dark staff. Your party will love you for it. Since you are getting af soon, don't worry about upgrading body, feet, hand, or head. Just get every other piece up to date. Electrum rings are good, enhancing earing, white or red cape (-enimity cape if you have even more gil to blow). I personally like druids rope, but haven't figured out yet if the -10% spell interrupt rate stacks with -20% from af2 boots. If you really like your shield, go for a divine shield (125k on Quetz). Also look into a white staff for +10% cure potency.

My equip is pretty much the same as Arturo-B's, only instead of a Holy Phial I wear a Promise Badge (HP+10, MND+5). I also don't have a Dark Staff yet but I use an Arcana Breaker for soloing/farming etc.

Yeah I've got arcana breaker as well for farming and coffer hunts (where a higher level rdm or blm is generally debuffing). I tried out promise badge and didn't like it. I found the phial more useful, but of course to each his own. ^^ At this point I don't see any return on more +mnd, so I've focused more on mp. The rdm in our party does all the non dia debuffs at any rate.

Fair call. Being a taru I don't really focus on MP that much, so my equipment is tipped in favour of +MND over +MP. I like the Promise Badge for the +10HP though, since I lost a lot of +HP bonuses when I switched over from RSE to AF.

currently saving up for a light staff and then a dark staff. I'm not parting with my Holy Shield tho because I am still going for Hexa Strike ^^

As a taru and at my level I am jsut shy of 800 MP with smn subbed. I never run out of MP on chain 4 with a good rdm along with me. In my static pt i have a blm already so there is no need for me to sub blm even tho i could if i needed to. So with a good rdm and smn properly subbed w/o using juices i get 4 mp back per tick. That adds up. My blm is always out of mp which is why we usually sit down lol. so we're trying to get him a dark staff as well. but thats my 2 gils
