Need advice for WHM lvling

I'm a level 11 whm in windurst, is the only real way for me to get exp is to party and fight maze makers?

Go to valkurm. Do a /sh lvl 11 whm lfp
^^ You will have 3-4 party invites in under 10 seconds. Not necessarily good parties, but still exp sources usually.

IMO I do not recommend going to Valkrummy Dunes until you absolutely must do so.

You should go directly to Shakrami Maze until you reach level 15 or even 16 as I did with both my WHM and BLM to great sucess.

The monsters in Shakrami Maze (Maze Makers specifically) are considerably easier than the monsters in Valkrum and are VERY vulnerable to BLMs (great around Windurst). Ideal team would be 5 * BLM + 1 * WHM (not a single fighter as they really do suck against MM at levels 10-14).

In addition the Maze Makers will not follow you when agro'd and they give excellent EXP all the way to level 16. At level 15 I was still getting 150+ EXP on chains with zero downtime and almost 0 threat.

As a final consideration...... Erm how can this be said politely.......... All of the less informed players go directly to Valkrum Dunes. This will work to your advantage as you are more likely to have monsters for yourself in Shakrami instead of competing for very strong monsters in Valkrum with inexperienced players. As if that isn't insentive enough the higher level players who are leveing their sub jobs are in Shakrami maze avoiding Valkrum until the very last second. You will probably learn more by going to Shakrami maze as well and have better players to party with.

If you really want to go to Valkrum then you can but if it was me I would go to Shakrami.

I did Shakrami up to Lv18, never even touched Valkurm. It's perfectly possible. From there you can fight some mobs in Buburimu Peninsula to get up to 19 or 20 before you head over to Qufim.

Yeah the Maze is great for leveling and it gets even easier once you get silence. With an all mage group i've level both WHM and BLM there but i normally moved out by 15.

also, as Dux said the maze of shakhrami is normally fairly empty. On phoenix about a month to a month and a 1/2 ago the amount of parties there around level 13-15 dropped to practically none. Although it did start rising by the time i brought my BLM there to level as my sub. Even then it was rather few.

even at level 12 my WHM partied with a single BLM and we took MMs down for 200 xp a piece. though it took all our mp to nuke it into worm food.... cannibals.
