What he is saying is that the puller uses their range attack on a monster to start the fight without telling anybody.

Kitalrez (WHM) doesn't know a monster is coming, the main tank does know one is coming, in fact only the only person who does know is the Puller.

As the WHM is gaining MP he actually has MORE hate than the puller does. As the main tank is still unaware the monster is coming either he doesn't provoke it. So what happens? The monster follows the Puller, sees the person resting and starts whacking the hell out of him.

This is very bad practise and jeprodises the entire team due to one bad puller being too lazy to write a very simple macro.

One no one mentioned before is the people who expect you to be psychic about sneak/invis/deo or status down effects like poison or such. I'm not watching the action in battle, I'm watching your hp to make sure I cast the right level cure on the right player. If you're poisoned or asleep, you've gotta say something. I also don't get any clue your sneak is wearing off until it actually falls.

I tend to disagree with this as far as poison/sleep goes. For Crawler poison it's feasible to heal poison at the end of the battle but for things like Acid Spray and such .. you have to watch the logs for these attacks and cure poison as soon as it lands since it actually does significant damage. Sleep is easy to clear, just Curaga the melee and all is good again.

I find that half my duties as a WHM involve watching the log. The other half is watching the HP of my party. You should be able to see a message like the mob is readying a hard hitting WS like Sickle Slash or something, so your hands can already be on the Cure III/Cure IV macro before it even lands.

It's VERY important to learn how to watch the logs at lower levels for things like Poison, Sleep, Paralyze, etc.

As a rule, you can let Crawler poison slide until the end of a battle, but don't try that with Spider or Fungaur poison - it deals way too much slip damage to ignore unless someone is in the red.

Sleep should be dealt with immediately. Toss a Cure at the sleeping party member (or Curaga if it was an AoE Sleep attack like Dream Flower), and move on.

I spent a bit of time last night levelling on Toramas in the Labyrinth of Onzozo, and let me tell you, you'd best have your act together as a WHM by the time you hit 60-63, because these things will get you the worst reputation as a healer if all you do is sit back and cast Cures. Torama are Coeurl-type enemies, and they use very fast Silence (Chaotic Eye) and Paralyze (Blaster) attacks. If you aren't paying close attention, your tank is going to be in a lot of trouble (ninja OR paladin), since the Paralyze effect is extremely potent, and the Silence effect stops PLD and NIN from casting Cure/Ninjitsu.

When Im leveling another job other than whm and I give helpful tips and the whm yell at me thinking I dont know what Im doing

When Im doing taxi service where I clearly state the price I charge in my /sh and they dont pay me ( i know thats nothing really important but its really annoying)

When there are no more whm's seeking or even just not anon and Im in my static pt and people are asking me to join their pt

When people spam shouts that they need a teleport right after I advertise my taxi service

ppl who /party zzz when a mandy puts group to sleep.. do they think i dont notice?

ppl who try to tell me how to be a whm.. i know im not the best, but give me a little credit once in a while.. like saying move back or make sure to cure me stuff like that

I had to get rid of a lot of my suicidal tendencies at higher levels. I'm trying to keep up with my static party, and if I die and our RDM dies...nobody can raise. >_< If I die but get a raise (from RDM), then I loose out on a good chunk of exp and Raise II as needed.

I can feel your guys' pains. I came from another MMORPG where "heal plz" was used constantly along with other "[insert buff/enhancement] plz" requests were used. Some players will get the reference; if you don't, you won't really feel left out.

I usually open a line as a tell with:
/t RandomWHM hello, sorry to bother you, but if you aren't busy...

Then fill in the request like that. Usually that applies to asking for a raise, and I try to tell my party that I'll search for a Raise (as long as I'm alive anyway) before they just /sh random Raise requests. If someone actually responds to a "/sh Raise <pos>", I reply to the WHM I sent a tell to as quickly as possible to let them know that someone else has come, so that they wouldn't be wasting their time.

Can I still add something though even though I'm not a WHM?
People who refuse to give a donation to an outside WHM for their services (a sneak, invis, deodorize, or raise). I try to donate all the time, but there are some WHM who refuse to accept. If they refuse, then it's a lucky day. But I'd rather not piss off a WHM that I might be partying with or need assistance from later by being stingy with 300-1k gil.

I'm only a Level 11 WHM but I have gotten raise requests for some reason. I'm guessing people don't know that you need to be Lvl. 25. I have a problem with other mages healing and people asking for protect too.

I can just see it now. If all this stuff continues the White Mages should go on strike. :D

1. When someone tries to 'be my friend' and hooch free teleports from me all the time.

2. When Im helping my LS mates with Rank 5 in Beadeaux and a level 60 with Rank 4 and an underleveled subjob sends me a tell asking to help with genkai 3.

3. Being asked for power leveling. Oh god, I never thought it was as bad as people say until it started happening to me. >_<
