I'm pretty new to FF11 but something i've noticed (in the forums)
is that many people have multiple job class; like a whm, blm, rdm, bard, summoner.... why... don't we only receive the benifits from your main job and your sub job???.... or does it all add up???

lets say ur a WHM (main) and SUM (sub), do you get the spells of other job classes as well???
    Thanks

    Reyne lvl 5 WHM
    :p

You get whatever is available to your sub job class so if you were 10 WHM and 5 BLM you could use up to level 5 blm stuff. Anymore than that and you'd become a super warrior if you had all the job classes. Its just rediculous to even wish for it.

a possible down side to trying multiple classes, is that it can be very expenseive. new armor, weapons, spells etc for each type of jobs isnt cheap. however if you have a good way of funding it, why not?

Actually, it's far less expensive than you guys think it would be... if you plan correctly, that is.

For instance, buy just a bronze harness and using your fishing/field gear for the other slots to level any melee class you need to the leather stage (lvl 7).

From this point, you buy a set of leather gear, and take those melee classes to 11 or 12.

Buy new armor that every one of your classes can wear, rinse, repeat.

What's the point? Farming. Plain and simple, the easiest way to make money is play as a lowbie. Find out what sells well in stacks from your newbie area, and go get it. The silk thread market on Diabolos has been slipping a lot lately, so I've mostly been farming crystals. This is one of the most fun ways to make gil in the game, since you get to try out new jobs and abilities, and make enough cash to fund your other activities as well.

I mean, I've managed to unlock every job so far, and I fully intend to play all of them to around 25 or 30. Once you no longer need the crystals for rank or synthesis, it's all fun and profit.

I've been leveling my Taru up to lvl. 5 in all jobs...lol, it's just fun playing as a Taru. But he'll end up a White Mage/ Black Mage.

There's a very good reason we play other jobs. I'm level 61 WHM right now. Now exping is fun and dandy and all that.... but 6+ hours a day exping in the same spot everyday isn't what you call excitement. Getting 30,000 exp for one level is mind-numbing. I play many other jobs just to get a break from that.
