Enhancing Skill Means.......

Does this skill represent a longer duration of enhancement? or does it mean Protect will give a higher bonus to defense if a higher level? Help me out.

This depends on the spell in question. Different spells react differently to Enhancement skill:

-Bar<element>(ra) spells become more powerful (increased elemental effect and damage resistance)

-En<element> spells deal more damage per successful hit

-Stoneskin stops more damage based on your Enhancement skill

-<element> Spike spells deal more damage, and their special effect (Paralyze for Ice Spikes, Stun for Shock Spikes) increases in power as Enhancement skill increases.

-Stealth spells (Sneak, Deodorize, Invisible) have a tendency to last longer as your Enhancement skill increases.

Some spells do not seem to be affected at all. Protect(ra) series, Shell(ra) series, Regen series, Haste, Refresh, and a few other spells seem to get nothing from Enhancement skill.

The defense gained from Protect I is always +10, for Protect II it's +25. But perhaps the duration might be affected by the lvl of enhancing magic. O_o

I believe Enhancing Skill has no effect on Defense gained nor Duration of Protect. Duration of Protect is based on the TARGET's(not caster) Job Level.

Hehe i just found out about that. A friend of mine hitted 20 and i had time so i told her i would bring her to Jueno. So i told her to switch job to a lvl 1 and come out of town.

When she arived i invisibled her and it droped half a sec after it. So she switched back to her normal job and we did it without invisible.

Sneak, Deodorize and Invisible generally have a huge random factor.

It can last quite a nice amount of time, but it can also vanish after a few seconds.

My enhancing skill is now at 68 (I'm a lv32 whm) and I find I can get through a whole zone casting sneak and invis twice. If I cast it on other people however, it tends to last MUCH shorter, so I'm led to believe the duration also depends on the enhancing magic level of the target.
