Priest Robe - does it really exists ?

I've been camping this Ashmaker Orc thing since the 23th december and killed him quite a few times (logging in every 3h) and ended up with like 15 Hermit Wands but no Robe

The only time he could have dropped was when I fought with my gf in a PT and we both went LD when he was nearly dead. After logging back in he was gone but no loot.

Anyway, maybe this is just a hoax that the robe is dropped in Yaghutt Grotto.

It does exist. My understanding is that it's just a very rare drop. That's why the robe goes for 30k or more (on Phoenix). At least those Hermit's wands should sell decently.

Its there. I had it drop accidently when I was in there with a thief while I was getting my kazham keys. He won the lot though.

I kinda get the feeling that this robe only drops with a thief in the party, can this be true ?

I dunno about BLM but the stats are lvl 19, def 14, mnd 1, vs dark 3 I think

It doesn't -only- drop with a thief, but the chance will be increased.

oh well I tried camping Martial Slacks today. After 24 hour of camping and several kills not one drop. In fact the ghost did not drop anything.

Then a Thief friend joined and the ghost did drop some items (not the slacks though but at least anything!).

So my theory still exist that monster will only drop rare items when a Thief is in your party or you are one.

Thief, level 15 innate ability--Treasure Hunter. Level 45 innate ability--Treasure Hunter II. There is no such thing as a drop that *requires* a thief--just that TH and TH II really does help drop rates. First time I did a hunt for the Carbuncle Ruby, we had two thieves w/ TH1--took us a good 3 hours to get the two rubies we were after. Next time I went, I had a 47 thief w/ THII on them--same location, took us 15 minutes flat to get 1.

I actually ran into a rather dedicated (read anal) JP player that was doing some research into the effect of TH, THII. Using his various characters, he was going through the process of killing 1000 of specific mobs and noting the drop rate of specific items using a character with no TH, with TH 1, with TH 2. And then repeating this across several mobs for analysis.

I wouldn't say thats anal. Thats an inquiring mind that wants to know. Possibly someone that likes math and statistics. I'll say right now that I wouldn't mind taking a look at what he comes up with.

It has been proven countless times that TH does not work on rare items... It does help normal drops (like spells, armor, crystals)

after 2 weeks of camping no priest robe.
my girlfriend meanwhile camped the martial legs and 2 other items in ramperre tombs. after one week not one pair of legs, not one valor earring but like 10 travellers mantle (they sell for 15-20k each). now we had enough money to buy this shit^^

Can you provide a link to some of this proof? I was unable to come up with anything searching the thief forum on this board.

I truly believe that Treasure Hunter works on Rare items. Sometimes its terrible and lousy but at other times its sweet and smooth for a long time. Carbuncle Rubies appear much better at quifim with a thief than without. I hear Treasure Hunter II is just unreal.

I camped Ashmaker for 16 hours. 3 Robes 8 Wands. It definately Exists.
