I am really trying my best not to like this game......

Started 6 weeks ago or so as an elvaan warrior. It was...ummm...ok at best. I played a lot of daoc before playing ff and was used to getting frontloaded with abilities and spells by level 10. This was so not like that at all. It took a while to start getting some fun things to do with your classes.

I hated the fact you had to grp.....probably because I hated that part in daoc. Long story short now....

I went to 18 in WAR........and decieded I want to be a BST so I could solo. So I changed my job to a whm...so I could go BST/WHM. I also was told to sub BLM to my WHM to help my mana from 20-30.

Playing a whm for 2 weeks to get to 18 and get my subjob quest items has just made me love this game. 90% OF THE PEOPLE ARE JUST FANTASTIC TO PLAY WITH. I have changed my mind on this forced grp'n thing now and really don think I would want to solo any longer...too boring. I thought having to play with Japanese people would be a burden. WRONG. What a joy it has been and what lessons have been learned by me. Great job s/e. Emotes are all that is neede sometimes.

Anyways nothing but a rant here.....but I have found this game to get better by the week.....and has me hooked more than any mmo has previously.

I started as monk and really didn't enjoy it. But then I switched to white mage and now I'm hooked. ^_^

And yes, you're right about the people. :D Soloing just sucks. >.>

JP players will only pt with E mages. That's the only people I've ever heard of pting with JP players (outside of importers). If you are E melee, you are destined to play only with other E players since the JP don't want to play with them. I'm in my lower 30's and can not find anyone to pt with. The only thing that I can think of is that most E players hit 30 and then go for an AJ (while I'm still having fun as THF).

not only japanese. even me I avoid inviting low rank NA players. A higher rank fighters and mages have easier time getting into japanese group. Everyone want to level fast, you know what that feeling is.
If there's a choice between a rank 2 Japanese warrior without sub, and a rank 5 american Pld with war sub, I'm sure even the japanese will pick the american Pld. Same way around.

Rank and sub jobs might not reflect the player's skill. But still, high rank can attract the leader more....

please point some my way. i've only been playing since na release but i have played eq for years, while they are diffrent animals they carry alot of similarities, it just seems to me that so many of hte na players don't have the exp of hte game yet. exping in quifim and seeing people with lv 26 war no subjob makes me sad, seeing people with lv 25x/sub lv 1 other class also makes me sad. true my own sub is lacking 27rdm/12whm i have begun finding it near impossable to level my whm because at lv 12 i'm forced (for anything resembling efficeny) for exp. maybe its my previous exp w/ mmorpg's but i find alot of na players to not take note of things that are vital, hey thats an it, lets kill it, oh wait, i was an ambusher that gets extra ranged attacks. oh wait i'm a level 15 war who is mt for the party, let me use beserk. oo look a goblin bomb went off and every got hurt, let me spam my "heal me" hotkey. (i really REALLY hate heal me hotkeys and after the first warning will let people die, unforutnally that seems to be the only way they learn altho i've never had to let that happen but have made the desicion myself to do it)

Gasan, you should have known before you got the game that its a strict Party play game. But im glad you found more interest in it, more power to you my friend.

I have not had anyone tell me how to play my whm yet.....well, there was one fellow but he ended up on my friends list ...lol. I have some xp at playing a healer...I had a 50 cleric and 35 shaman in daoc. I know that the game had forced grp'ing when I bought it but damnit......I loved the atmosphere and thought a bst/war would offer the best solo option to me.

I had a lot more folks tell me how to heal in DAoC....and it just flat out pisses me off to the point of me doing....or rather not doing certain things when they were in battle.......only extreme cases mind you. I am sure I will run into these folk in FF.........its only a matter of time.
