  • How to get some cash when you are a whm?

    Am a lvl 18whm/lvl 7blm in Jueno.

Seen regenerate and cure3 costs about 4000-5000G. On top of that I need new armour. Have lvl 12 armour.

And what does the blink spell do? and it is usefull?

With new armour and this 3 spells ill have to put up around 30 000G...

Then to the question how do you get some money will you are a whm to get all that cash for every spell. They starting to get really pricey now.

First of all, spells are the priority, don't buy any armor until you have all the required spells for your level and the level above you. Skip the bar- line of spells, most are trash anyway and will save you money. Don't buy protect/shell, get the group versions. As for making money, you only have two options as a starting white mage. Sell everything you get, no matter how cheap. And secondly, start up a melee subjob to farm crystals with.

Do NOT skip the bar-element spells. If you want to buy them, wait until you can get to Jeuno. A lot of people buy there and gouge the newbies at the auctions of the other town (ie. barstone sells for 150 in Jeuno, auctions for 1000 in Bastok). The bar-element spells ARE worth it. At my level, they give over 50 resist to a given element and CONTINUE to get better as your enhancing magic raises.

Blink is useful if you expect to generate a lot of hate during a tough battle, since it is like AD&D's mirror image, in that you get 2 mirror images of yourself that enemies hit. But, it has the same casting delay and duration as aquaveil, so you'll have to decide its usefulness. I was lucky enough to get this as a drop from a WHM quadav.

I didn't get new armor until ~25 when I found myself with 23k (footsteps of an explorer quest) and had all the spells I would be needing for a while. The only piece of armor I upgraded whenever I could was a hairpin every time a better one came along.
Newbie: Where's a good place to go when you're new?
Me: It's called "outside of town"
Newbie: I'm not that new bud.

You can pretty safely skip the bar- status element spells, but I would recommend picking up the bar- fire/wind/water/etc ones.

For example, I was in PT in Qufim killing Pugils. Even though my enhance skill is currently capped at ~30 (whm sub), casting Barwatera would usually prevent the water AE from hitting the melee. I'm sure the whm in group was happy not to have to heal ~70 hp a person on each AE and the ballad I was singing probably made his life easier too

Just kill beastmen, a good place to go is Pal Mines in bastok area. You can fight low level quadavs and maybe go to the second floor figths will be a bit harder for mages it would be nice to have bind just incase things get too hasty. So it can bring up your WS for clubs and Quadavs drop "Quadav Backplate" which is wort 500-600 in AH I've gotten 5 in one day I felt so rich until I got some bar spells  bar sleep is also good when you go to qufim.
