  • Teleport Mea scroll quest---> need help

Any help on this will be appreciated.... I'm out of ideas on what to do. I've been running all over Batallia and marked all the entrances to Necropolis i've found... but there are 2sections i cannot reach. One in the top NW Corner of the map I believe is reached through glacier... but the other one is in SE corner of the necropolis map. It seems to be connected to the other parts of the necropolis but when i take the path leading to it its blocked off, can only come back through that way... if anyone can explain to me how to reach that part of the necropolis i'd greatly appreciate it!

    Thanks in advance

died four times in battalia today. so frustrated with this quest. ready to just pay the 50000 gil for this scroll. anywho, found this info on another forum, hope it helps you.

Mea: This is the most time-saving low level Teleport because you definitely
don't want to run across six maps with a chocobo to get there from Holla
(Konschtat is only 2 maps from La Thiene). You will need VERY HIGH Windurst
fame (38+ quests), then talk to Gantineaux. No Sandorian fame is necessary.

Step 1) Run through Batallia and explore Eldieme for the candles. Cast Blink,
Aquaveil and Stoneskin, only Sneak is needed in Eldieme. If Sneak wears off
at a stupid time (as it has a tendency to), try to find a safe place, but if something
      aggros you first, WARP.

Step 2) Pray like mad the candle you want isn't the one in the top left corner of the map.
If it is, you have to run through Beaucedine.

Step 3) Failing which, EVERYTHING in Beaucedine aggros. Invis is needed because
Tigers aggro on sight as well. Run through Beaucedine (go NE, then south) and keep
praying your Sneak holds up. (Invis is easy to refresh, but Sneak can't be refreshed until it wears off)

Step 4) Making it to Batallia, try not to a) fall off the plateau, making you have to run through
      Beaucedine again, or b) die.

FYI, the candle locations in Eldieme are D5(BAAAD), I-7, I-10 and M-6. I-7
has two possible candles. It will be one of these at random.

Thanks alot for the info, it should help quite a bit, the walkthrough i read said that M-10 was a possible location. I was trying everything i could to reach it before having to cross Beaucedine, anyway, Thanks again!

This quest is seriously annoying, there is no doubt about it. It's even harder if you are playing on a PC without an analog controller, because the movement and camera controls with a keyboard leave a lot to be desired.

          Having said that...

FIRST: It should also be noted that the incense will burn up and you will lose the key item when you find the correct location. THIS IS NORMAL. I almost had a heart attack myself when it happened to me, because I was thinking I'd failed completely and would have to run all the way back to Windurst and acquire more incense. Fortunately, that is not the case. Once the incense is burned, simply report back to Gantineux in Windurst Waters, and then to Eperdur in the Cathedral in North San d'Oria to complete the quest.

Now... there are multiple entrances to the Eldieme Necropolis. Why Square-Enix chose to put one of them on the far side of the universe reachable only through Beaucedine Glacier, I have no idea, but if you are forced into this situation, I do have some tips.

          - When travelling through Beaucedine Glacier, TURN OFF WEATHER EFFECTS. I can not stress enough how important this is. There are only 4 kinds of weather that will appear in Beacedine: Clear, Snow, Blizzard, and Darkness. Clear is ultra-rare, and never lasts long. All the others reduce visibility to almost zero, which means you won't know where the nearest enemy might be. Remember that ALL enemies in Beacedine Glacier will aggro to magic if they see it. It is safe to rest (but not cast!) near Golems if there are no enemies nearby, but otherwise, all other enemies are aggro (Tigers, Goblins, Giants, Bat Eyes).

          - When travelling through parts of the Eldieme Necropolis, there are a number of "safe zones" that you can take advantage of. These are certain spots that enemies rarely if ever wander into - their patrol patterns don't let them move much beyond a certain zone, so if you keep your eyes peeled, you should be able to spot openings where you can safely reset Sneak and Invisible.

          - My experience with the spots where the braziers that you want to test are is that it is usually safe to cast spells somewhere near them, as most of the enemies will not patrol near there. If you know Warp, one good way to save yourself time and gray hairs is to use a /BLM sub, retreat back against the wall after checking a brazier and casting Warp in relative safety.

Thanks Icemage, sure these tips will come in handy when i'm forced to cross Beaucedine, fairly certain that is where the candle I need is.

Logging in to go die a couple times trying to get this stupd scroll ^^

                Fame

What did you guys do to get the fame level up in Windurst?

I did it in Sandy and Bastok to get the teleports but I am burnt out. I am thinking about just buying the scroll. BUT if you know of an easy way to get the fame up, let me know!

If bastok is first in your conquest ladder, you can buy cornettes from the music store in Markets and trade to the taru in windurst walls for a minimal loss (if your bastok fame is hero). Lastok, sorry Bastok was first on my server a few months ago, so i took advantage of this.
