At level 70, taru bards have ~180 mp, elvaan have ~120.
60 mp difference, and elvaan have 300 more hp. And the higher mind stat enhances heals when they have to do the divine seal + curaga combo at the end of a tough combo.
Elvaan bard + 2 astral rings = best bard

I think I'll go hume male just so I can take a hit or two more. I was going to go Mithra but I want a male so I can name him Jebus or something . Also before I make a FINIAL decision, is warp that important ? It is the major reason why I wouldn't sub red mage.

Incorrect. With a /WHM sub, Curaga soft caps at 90 very early (I don't remember exactly when but it's very close to level 20 or so).

I partied with a Tarutaru BRD32/WHM16 the other day and her Curaga was capping at around 81 if I recall. By level 70/35, Curaga for all races of Bard/WHM should be capping at somewhere around 91, regardless of differences in MND. In any case, the BRD is usually not the one casting this spell - it's usually the WHM. BRD is there for backup healing during combat when things get out of control,.

HP is meaningless to a high level BRD. They simply don't draw much hate from their songs, with the single exception of Horde Lullaby.

Hehe, even disregarding the mind factor, a elvaan that picks up 2 astral rings will have 250 more hp and the same mp as a taru.
So I still prefer an elvaan. And I'll be a bard, not a white mage.
