Hey all just wondering if these two spells are used at higher lvls? I don't see like haste2 or slow2 so I am thinking that it's only good at lower lvls (hope I am wrong) any info would be great. Thanks.

Spells normally follow a level pattern, i.e.
protect - 7
protect2 - 27
protect3 - 47
WHM's get haste at 41, and RDM at 48, so if it's out there, we won't see it for a while.
However, haste increases my monk's attack speed by about 20% (unscientifically measured).
Slow is the worst thing if you're a 2-hd weapon wielder. I have no idea time-wise how much it screws you up, but it feels like you never attack. once haste shows up it's so nice not to be stopped dead in your tracks by the damned "Sticky Thread" attack that crawlers use and lasts 2-billion-zillion years before it wears off >.<.

I wish somebody had told me this earlier. I actually got yelled at for using slow, much like I got yelled at for casting banish once or twice to raise my skill (they weren't complaining when I casted it on undeads and demons). People always told me paralyze was SO much better than slow and that it was a waste of MP, so I never used it to get an idea of how well it works.

Slow Paralyze are both awsome status spells to cast on the monster. Very useful always.
Haste is also an amazing spell to have. Cast Haste on your highest dmg dealer and watch the monster drop dead fast.
In many tough fights paralyze and slow help a ton. And I find my self casting one or the other as my first spell.
Status effects that are great to have:
Paralyze, Slow, Dia(1-2), Silence(for casters of course).
Haste is lvl 40 WHM and 48 RDM
IMO Banish(1, 2, ga) is a waste of time and mp, But I hear that a new patch will make Banish stronger.. hopfully... I hardly ever used Banish after my newbie days. So my divine skill was fairly low.
Skills you will want to max up and take the time to max up is Healing and Enhancing. Enfeebling was always one of my first skills to hit the cap because I would always cast my status spells on the monster every fight. (Especially those damn crawlers in CN)Full Cursed= O
Full Str Gear= O
Apocalypse= ; ;
DRK - /war /thf /nin /sam /whm
1-year break.. everything so cheap O_O

Never seen haste in action myself but I'm sure it would have helped me out a ton with my great swords. Two-handed sword was my fav weapon but had a long delay seemed to take forever to attack.
I have however seen slow and it helps a lot. Anything that can enfeeble a monster is a good thing and slow is a very good thing. Helps greatly to use enfeebling magic like slow paralyze etc. just don't listen to your party if they tell you not to use it cus they obviously idiots.um :-P
