Extra MND helps when you get new spells, but i've found no difference in heal potency dropping a couple +MND with skills capped for my level using cure 2.
When I get cure3, im sure the extra +MND will help again.

3 Mithra are better than 1...

Each of the healing spells has a "soft cap" which defines the point where additional levels in Healing skill and/or MND stat stop having significant impact. While your Healing/MND scores are lower than the amount required to reach the soft cap, you'll see significant differences in healing with +MND items and/or increases in Healing skill.

Once you've hit the soft caps (30 for Cure, 90 for Cure II/Curaga, 180 for Cure III/Curaga II, 360 for Cure IV, etc.), additional healing power comes very, very slowly, if at all. I can tell you that my WHM50 Tarutaru in the FFXI beta was barely able to cast Cure for 32 HP, despite having around 70 MND and maxed Healing skill. By comparison, a WHM at level 11 or 12 will usually be able to cast Cure for 30 already. This is why MND is not considered to be very important - you simply reach a point where you need 20 or so MND points to increase your healing power by a point or two.
