my suggestion to you is the same thing dbeeo told me...warrior is the most flexible class but are you going to fully pursue paladin as a main or a sub??

      War/Pld
War is first, that means it is the main job
Pld is second that means it is the sub

actually it's pretty decent. War itself isn't really the ideal giver or receiver, but it's almost as good in both. I recommend you buy a pair of MP -> HP earrings though, because the magic of sub pld won't help you very much. That way you can have a decent defense (second best) and, up to level 33 at least, have more HP than a war/mnk (afterwards, the % added by mnk sub surpasses the initial 50 you get from the pld sub's MP)

Basically, whether you're war/mnk, war/drk, war/pld, or war/thf, you're a very decent damage dealer/receiver, because all of the abilities will prove useful in battle. Although I frown upon war/whm in PTs, it's not too bad. war/blm on the other hand, is just stupid

                True that.

I've been thinking about this, but the difference is I want to get to where I'm Pal/War, so I have taunt and the other war abilities from my sub but I'll set paladin as my main. I'll start off as warrior, later on maybe even white mage for a while, then when warrior is lv30 I'll go for paladin.
