Noob in need of advice

after some advice please
Ive only been playing a few weeks, ive got my WAR up to lvl 14 now, however i am totally confused with this game .... i thought it would have been similar to prefious FF games ive played...as we all know its not!

How do and where can i get i subjob?
Whats the easiest way to make gil?
how on earth do you use the Auction House?
Is there a knack to using a Mog house properly?? all i can seem to do is store stuff in the safe
Can a WAR summon?? or perform any form of magic
Is there anywhere i can find a list of missions / tasks to complete?

I know somebody is bound to tell me to use a search option in the forum, but ive been searchin for ages and really cant find help that i can use

Any help i can get would reeeeally be appreciated

Level 18 in the dunes. You'll need a Crab Apron, Damselfly Worm, and a Magicked Skull.

Whats the easiest way to make gil?
There's a lot of ways. Easiest way to make a lot of gil quickly is to do a BCNM and get lucky.

how on earth do you use the Auction House?
You look at the price history, and bid a little bit under, and keep going until you find the price the person is selling the item for.

I.E. Somebody sells an Ocean Rope for 900k.

I check the AH history, and see that the going price is going for 950k.
I bid 800, and go up in increments of 10,000 gil each time.
I buy the Ocean Rope for 900,000 gil (meaning somebody put it on AH for 900,000 gil.)
Next guy sees I paid 900,000, so he bids 900,000. But he doesn't get it.
That's because the next person selling an ocean rope put it up for 950,000 as the max bid.
But if somebody accidentally bid 1,000,000 gil on it, then he'd get it for 1,000,000 gil.
You can never buy for under what a person puts an item on the AH for, but you can bid over, so be careful.

That's basicaly what a MH is for. You can switch jobs, and buy furniture to fix it up. The furniture adds storage slots, which you can use to store items in.

Can a WAR summon?? or perform any form of magic
WAR in itself can not use magic. If you were to sub WHM, BLM, RDM, SMN, etc. Then you'd be able to use magic. But since your subjob is capped at 1/2 your level, you will have gimp magic. I have a 75WHM, and I can sub BLM or SMN with it. My subjob caps at 37, so I have access to all magic up to level 37 on BLM (even though my Black Mage is level 63.) When I switch to BLM, I sub WHM. My WHM is 75, but it's capped at 31, since my BLM is 63. I can't Cure 5 or Raise 3 people while subbing BLM, because I only have all magic up to level 31 on my WHM useable.

Try KillingIfrit or Allakhazam. Unless you're looking for one in the game. THen just scroll over in your menu until you see two menus that say (Missions) and (Quests).

Hope that helped. And I agree that the search function is kind of hard to use if you don't put in the right keywords.
