No...luminaire is just fucking good. Same with russta and nny. Luminaire is the only man to have outdmged me in a sky party in a very long time(using joy/ridill). As for your "omg whirl of rage!" excuse. Doesn't hold water, I go as- MNK/WAR-. They ask me to. We easily go to chain 20+ no probs, just need a proper route and a good brd. Also, there are some brds out there that can actually manage to minuet AND go lullaby some weapons, not difficult. Shit man, I've done chain 10 with ONLY a brd for healing up there(whm left.), weapons are pussies.

Fact - I've straight tanked everything in the game that matters except COP dragons, which my previous shell didn't get around to. Stop saying kited.

Fact - I've not been outdamaged by a n y o n e in sky merit exp since I got my Ridill (it's the purple falchion you're not using to full potential, in case you didn't know). This includes multiple fully merited Shura/God set/Destroyer/BB MNKs, Shura/God set/Fudo NINs, Crimson/God set/Kriegsbeil/Ebow/Obow/Hellfire +1 RNGs, and Adaman/God set/Hectacomb/AF2 axe-build WARs. Just because you haven't done it doesn't make it impossible. The person who comes closest is Corpse and other completely blinged MNK/WARs - MNK/NIN gets its lunch eaten, RNGs get pushed into the dirt, NIN has to cast too much to compete. A full STR build Kraken RNG might be able to compete with me - but that's perfect RNG gear, and I DON'T have perfect WAR gear for my build (Hecta Cap, Armada Mufflers, Warrior's Cuisses, a Triumph Earring, and Adaman Hauberk would all be mild to heavy improvements).

Fact - WAR has a ton of potential, the only limits on the job are the player. Like, say, you.

The poster also mentioned 10k an hour, that's roughly chain 11-13 for a weapons pt. I don't know what you're chaining to 27 and then magically go "10k an hour" when I can get the same on chain 11.

I can't tell if you're suggesting that much exp isn't possible (it is) or parties aren't capable of sustaining chain 22+ consistently (they are).

Well...my 700+ Vorpal. And vastly superior DOT to dual axes. On the Rampage note though...my Ramage in EXP when I decide to trot out Woodsville's or Retributor (typically to remind myself that Ridill/Joyeuse is better) is 900+. There are some Rampage-hungry WARs like Caj and Falcon who have nuts attack builds and consistently nail 1400+ Rampage - Caj has nailed an Aura Statue non-Mighty-Striked for 1900. My LS's own Jeminii builds for axe and nails 1100+ Rampage more often than he doesn't. More proof that you can lead a WAR to a Ridill, but you can't make him not suck.

So......... you're feeding the weapon even more TP. wow your weapons must never whirl. They annoy me with stun often enough as it is. Having 2 shadows is 50/50 chance of getting stunned in whirl.

We've already established that your parties are slow, however, so maybe it's an issue for you. Me, Corpse, Prawneh, Jeminii, or any of a number of very strong melees I regularly merit with all build up 100tp (very quickly and with ridiculous DOT) and then all weaponskill and the mob is dead. This takes about 20-30 seconds on Decorative Weapons. If the weapons Smite, who cares, we blink it (unless it's on Corpse and then we laugh at him and he gets Cured, no big deal) and if they Whirl, they get a chance to do that at all once or twice a fight. You know you can recast blink, right? Non-issue unless you are annoying friends with a Kraken Club.

Decked out str gear, with dual valor-> 80-100ish a swing. Nothing that special to a mnk/nin who can hit for 150+ a punch.

MNK/NIN sucks, MNK/WAR can barely keep up (except on bones/pots of course where they're unfair).

and a ranger who hits for 170ish(once), but sidewinder for 1.5k. A monk would indeed asuran for 800-1k and totally out hate a war fast, or even sooner depending on what range you provoke at.

Our MNKs Asuran for 1200+ but OK. Everything you post just tells me you and the people you play with don't have your turbos on, even if you do have a Ridill, which is dubious at best to assume.

By your class examples... a war/nin would keep hate until the asuran fist of a monk, and then totally looses hate to a 1.5k sidewinder.

Well...yeah. And then the mob's dead anyway so who cares. And if the WAR WSs in the midst of all that, then the WAR is just as likely to still have hate anyway for the 3 more seconds the mob lives.

I'm going to assume you CAN read, based on the extremely low probability that you are a monkey who just happens to be coincidentally hitting keys in the right sequence. Since you CAN read, stop selectively quoting and go back and read where I wrote:

Wow that's some amazingly weak weapons you find. They must be closer then I remember too, because our redmage doesn't even gravity weapons, much less sleep them, you need to be that fast to pull from so far.

So many people have consistently pulled off mass kill Decorative Weapon chain 22-26 parties at this point that it's fucking ridiculous you're even trying to adopt the position that it's not possible. I don't even know how to respond to being denied it's possible to do something I do every week.

And now you have to do something weird yet again, and bring in kreken rangers .... While yes, they are quite powerful, the spawn rate is the limiting factor even then. They usually make it to 18ish, after a round or so. You can widescan all you want, there's just not enough monsters. And it's really frutstrating to over pull because someone missess xp from being too far.

Either you guys are slow or you lack foresight and are stupid. You blast through chain 22-26, then you run all the way back to the start and wait a minute for repops to start piling up. Repeat. Spawns are not a limiting factor on Decorative Weapons. Also - who the fuck has time to widescan in these parties, and why bother? The mobs are in the same places and cubbies every spawn.

I have a lot of WAR pride because I've worked extremely hard for nearly a year as a 75 WAR main tank/DD to prove what WAR is capable of - so have WARs like Nny, Russta, Caj, Underscore, Falcon, Kroeger, Rudo, Isshin, Jeminii, and numerous others. Isshin once claimed Fafnir by himself and held it ten minutes waiting for an LS mage to get there and start sleeping it. Tell me it's not possible, I don't care, 50 people watched him do it. Rudo maintanked gods and HNMs in full offensive gear long before people thought WAR could tank at all. Kroeger straight-tanks Kirin in DD gear, Nny has done the unthinkable and straight-tanked Faust as WAR/NIN and Fafnir as WAR/MNK, and tanked every COP wyrm. Underscore and I outdamage everyone we know of on our entire servers. Jeminii has straight-tanked Charybdis multiple times with no gimmicks. Russta has been a huge WAR proponent for forever. Caj and Falcon put up the sickest WS damage numbers I've seen from any job, all things considered. People like you (ostensibly WARs? GTFO) telling us it's not possible to do what we do everyday is insulting and an affront to the hard work we all put in to get a once-undervalued and underrated job recognized. It's people like you that bring the job down. The limits you place are your own, not warrior's.

... well you know minuet, elegy and all BRD songs only needs a few seconds to sing and they last for a good amount of time... just in case you've never PT or play Brd before.

in fact, a brd I had on sky PT was able not only to minuet+elegy, he could even kept us mages and pld ballad despite the fact that we mages stood only a couple steps away from the attackers and at the same time lalabi pull too..

war/mnk tank is superior until 50 or so when everyone gets into the fad, and it makes an even better DD at 50 also
