67-69 Body Armor

Hello^^ I'm a 67 warrior on Phoenix. I static with a monk so all of our exp PTs from present to 75 will most likely be bone parties, excluding maybe 69.5-71 or so on dhalmels or an equivalent. My setup in Gustav Tunnel has been:

Fransisca/Bloodsword
C.C.Boomerang+1
Assault Earring/Coral Earring
Victory Ring x2
R.G. Collar
Valkyrie's Mask
Haubergeon (Fighter's Lorica for Provoke/Mistral Axe to turn mob)
Enkelados' Bracelets (AF Mufflers for Provoke)
Amemet Mantle (Not paying 1,280,000 for 1 str and 5 attack heheh)
Life Belt
Fighter's Cuisses
Fighter's Calligae

I eat Sole Sushi and we party with a Bard casting MinuetIV/III. My average hits without berserk do about 45-50, berserked 55-60. Mistral Axe is more or less bunk so I won't get into it.

The purpose of this post is to discuss the merits of the Assault Jerkin. I possess one and upon dinging 67 tried it some in XP. Honestly the -7 acc from no Haubergeon didn't seem to hinder me, and the +7 attack I think was nice.. the only reasons I don't want to take my Haubergeon off are for the -5STR -5DEX and the Assault Jerkin being incredibly ugly. I don't at any point intend on selling my Haubergeon (I plan on going back to Hauberk when we return to IT+ mobs, but Gustav bones are low end IT at 68-69)

Anyways just curious. I know the Jerkin is a standard alternative for poorer melees and I honestly didn't notice a huge difference either way. Then again, I had sushi, lots of HQ gear and a Bard. Post your thoughts^^

I'm missing your question here I think......... If the question is whether or not to use the Jerkin, I would say probably not. The loss in ACC and STR will definitely show, even with a brd in the pty plus the jerkin is just fugly. Personally, I would not use the bracelettes in lieu of your war AF hands, the +3str I think it is over the mufflers doesn't make up for the -4 dex and -4agi IMO. If anything, i'd macro in those bracelettes for WS that use str and modifyer.

Also, pick up an Acha d'Armas, it has better dmg than the francisca and gives +str.
