Is this NM borken on other servers? I've camped him 5 times for atleast 3 hours each time without a single pop. I know he isn't so heavily camped that his window isn't already closed when I get there.. anyone else having trouble popping him on other servers?

Camped him once for a friend. Took about 1.5-2 hours to pop, dropped axe.

He's tougher than you might think, he's got Double Attack IV it seems like :mad:

Most mobs that use Mighty Strikes are guaranteed to double attack for the duration of it. That's the only thing that even comes close to making Eisentaenzer, Pendragon, Tungi, and Acha d'Armas mobs challenging. While Bloodthirster has Mighty Strikes up he'll double attack for 300x2 on a 75 melee. Solution: blinktank! :D

I pretty much tanked him as THF75 and bastard couldn't hit me. Same w/ Tungi NM

bit of a bump to this thread, but since i'm actually at the level to use the Acha d'Armas, i was wondering what would be a sufficient party to bring to help with Bloodthirster's demise.

if i had, say: myself, a 74pld, a 75blm, and a 74 drk...would i still need a rdm or whm for healing purposes, or could the pld pretty much handle himself with a bit of blm healin'?

The deal is he's a lottery pop NM which means this will happen with many NM's. A Warrior friend on my server camped him for 6 hours with nothing, a whole day with nothing then finally got the Arch d'Armas on the eighth hour of that camp. Me? I got it in 16 minutes with the first rotation. Just keep plugging away at it every opportunity you get and it'll make it even sweeter when it does finally drop.

Beat him with a level 61 levelling party though, and there were 2 links. Blink is good on this mofo. Alternatively you can bind him while his 2 hr is active and fight him after it's over.

At least that worked for me on teh Eisen gob.
