Lol we tried to have this WAR/NIN tank an Orcish Champion that was too high level and he got totally destroyed. Those damn things have almost no delay between their swing of fists and it double attacked on each fist almost every time. No BRD, and I don't know if RDM put on slow and paralyze like he should of. Basically, I'd recommend you know that your party has experience with tanking WAR/NINs or expect to have to teach them since it's different than any other tank.

Friends don't let WAR friends tank MNK type mobs. Even at 75 when doing stuff in Monastic like coffer keys or camping Overlord or whatever when someone pulls a Champion, I don't even bother recasting Utsusemi. :\ Just let it hit me in the face.

Good job hijacking everyone's threads and getting yourself banned.

Anyway, I know that Carnage Elegy helps a lot, but right now at 51, that's not an option. I really need some other way of making myself last longer, or is it just impossible until a BRD that has Elegy comes along?

I found as a WAR/THF, I tanked 50% better with a BRD...period. A BRD will always make tanking easier in every way. If you are BRD less, you're just going to have to tough it out

Another thing: Currently I have 2 Viking Axes. At what level do I make the switch to a new weapon? I'm thinking Darksteel Axes at level 56, but losing 20 Accuracy is a lot. Anyone have advice on that?

Ditch one viking and keep the other in your offhand. I think most do that for a while

Darksteel Axe +1 in mainhand and Viking in offhand until you grab a Haubergeon.

I have a Haubergeon and still keep Viking in offhand though, I don't notice a big difference in damage when I use Darksteel+1 and Tungi, though I see a big difference in accuracy...
