However, I always hear people talking about how awesome Joyeuse and/or Ridill are, and they really aren't as good as people make them out to be. They still are very good, I just think they're overrated.

I think the Joyeuse is best for those jobs that can't equip the good swords, like DRG, BRD or RDM. The best sword my DRG can use, besides the Joyeuse, is the Royal Guard's Fleuret. Only 33 dmg, 215 delay and +6 acc. Not like a BRD or RMD can equip a Company Sword. Besides, WAR's get really nice axes to use. Like anything, it does have it's situational uses.

Seriously though, GA is my best friend. I'm not much of an axe fan right now, 'cuz I don't have Rampage yet, and Dual Weild I is overrated if you ask me. I also use a bow and crossbow as WAR/RNG when soloing.

Axes and Great Axes generally cut it for me. I have Sword and Polearm leveled from my Samurai, though, and I also use Great Sword if parties need me to open distortion. WAR is an all purpose melee, why not keep them all purpose by training different weapons?

I dunno though, I find all the weapons to be fun, except for scythe. I don't really want to skillup scythe until I play DRK for some reason, unless they implement a Farmer John suit of armor. Then I would love to play scythe as WAR.
