Might want Sandorian Gloves (fairly cheap) for the 3 attack, 6 HP.

As for rings, I used 2 Courage unless I was tanking, then either 1 Courage and 1 Stamina or 2 Stamina. Other than that, there isn't many better pieces of armor to wear. Look into RSE gloves, unless you're tanking (in the future).
