Best party set up~

    Best party set up~

    I've been considering for a while to take warrior all the way,
    and with some luck make a static for it..
    But when looking at the renkei table.. well i dont see much
    to chose from. So im here asking what you recomend/think
    is best..

    I'm looking for 2 set ups, one for war as main tank (specify sub)
    And one for war as DD, and tank being a PLD. (specify sub too)
    Assume 3 slots are rdm,blm,brd or whm >.>;

    Also please indicate possible renkei and take into
    account im starting the static @ lv 30, so im not just looking
    for answers based on lv 55 skills ;_;

    If you want the war/nin main tank I suggest you take a brd in your static. the brd songs are a must for war tanking and it will keep your whm's mp ok since war will take some hits for sure.

    a 2nd war wouldn't be bad. they can do good damage and that other war can assist the other war with tanking.

    war/nin war/nin brd/whm so far.

    I would also take a thf/nin , thf/war .. thf can sata behind a war so it won't lose the hate and mages will not die that way.

    war/nin war/nin brd/whm thf/war .

    There isn't a good skillchain with war's at that lvl and it also depends on the monsters you are fighting...

    some SC's are :

    Spinning Axe -> Viperbite ( Scission )
    Spinning Axe -> Cyclone ( Fusion )
    Smash Axe -> Cyclone ( Impaction )

    Need an WHM sor sure in it.
    I would also suggest a blm for MB. War's can't make a good renkei with thf but still it will do enough damage for a nice MB on it. At the end I would go for :

    WAR/NIN
    WAR/NIN
    THF/WAR/NIN
    BRD/WHM
    WHM/BLM
    BLM/WHM
    Ridill + Adaman Hauberk :D

      I've only been in one party that had 2 war/nins and a thf. It was ok.... but the SCs were limiting (and not ideal) and more importantly: thf tricks hate onto main tank. 2nd war can't take hate from main tank. No utsu re-cast.
      Of course a bard would help in this regard. Battlefield Elegy (while not as amazing as Carnage Elegy that ZQM has me lusting over) does seem to stack with slow and make it possible to blink between hits. You'll still get hit as you wait for re-cast timer to go down though but it's still handy. Not only is that 10 levels away, not many of us are good friends with bards that actually level our rate.

      Ahem..... my ideal for you would be war(/mnk or /nin), thf, and either drg or sam to do distortion with thief. back line of whm, blm, and rdm if /mnk, or brd if /nin.
      Also, if you can get a nin/war to tank, then war, nin, thf are pretty fun together. for pld....... I'd suppose you could sub thf and use SA sturm.

      Oh, and I don't get to do it enough but Fragmentation is actually a really good SC.

        At level 30:

        War/Nin, War/Thf, Thf/Nin, Brd/Whm, Whm/Blm, and Rdm/Blm.

        Thief pulls, and War/Thf SA's to take hate. Thief tricks onto War/Nin and the party continues. Brd to keep accuracy up and attack up, and to back up heal. Whm to heal. Rdm/Blm to enfeeble and nuke a bit here and there.

        When it comes time to SC, War/Thf will SA Sturmwind, then Thf/Nin will SATA Viper Bite, and I think you can MB with fire or thunder from the Rdm but it'll be a bit weak.

        The best part is SA Sturmwind is awesomely strong, and SATA VB will be doing a bit more then it so you'll be switching hate back and forth giving you a chance to recast Utsu here and there if you don't have slow or paralyze casted on the monster.

          Look, 1 war/nin is provoking at the beginning to keep hate.
          Then the thf SATA behind the other war ( 2 SATA buddy's )
          Now the other war will get hate but in meanwhile the war that provoked 1st will provoke/warcry again when utsusemi recasted..
          He will get his hate back.

              (Raging Rush > Raging Rush = Win)

              (Raging Rush > Sidewinder = Win)
