  • Warrior missed alot

    I a hume warrior/monk currently at level 42.

It seems that starting from level 32+, i'm starting to miss alot during melee, especially with greataxe. The matter is getting worse as i go higher in level.

Currently, I'm partying in the crawlers's nest, killing flys and soldier crawlers, and sometimes i will miss amost 90% of the time! In some battles, i will not even get a single hit landed! I'm starting to lose confident in my warrior. I felt like a useless member of the party now.

Do all warriors experiences through the same problem i'm experiencing now? At what level will this come to a stop? Any other places to level with mobs that are easiler to hit?

I also need some advice on my gears too:

    Weapon : Raifu
    Head : bastokan Visor
    Neck : Spike Necklace
    ears : Beetle earrings +1 x 2
    Fingers : Balance ring x 2
    Body : Breastplate
    Hand : Royal squire's mufflers
    Back : Earth mantle
    Waist : Waistbelt
    Legs : Cuisses
    Feet : Bastokan greaves

These are the best + accuracy equipments i can afford right now.

I also have the hume RSE gloves, is it recommended over the royal squire's mufflers?

Well, just as a hint: balance rings usually cost more then the level 36 Dex+2 rings. If you trade them in for the 36 rings and have a little more cash for other things.

You should really try and strive for Deft rings, royal squire's mail, and royal squire's breeches.

At level 45 you'll get Agressor which is Acc+ Eva-, and you'll be able to equip the Brigandine which has +2 Dex. At level 50 you'll get Focus from your monk sub which is also Acc+ but without the negative side effect.

Once you have those two skills life will be easier.

      What race are you?
As an Elvaan if I was going to level a melee job again I would save up for Sniper's Rings first, I hate to miss all the time.
Life Belt at level 48 is a must, around 80k on my server.

        Thanks for the feedback.

The reason why i am still holding on to the balance rings is because i still need them for leveling my sub. Currently, i'm going to work on getting the royal squire set. Thanks

The price of the sniper and archer rings are too steep for me now. They sell for around 500K in my server. I centainly won't be able to afford them in the near furture. T.T

I have also given up my greataxe and switched to an axe so that i can equip the balance buckler ( +3 acc ). Looking forward to reach level 43 so that i can equip the combat caster boomberang too.

Actually all melee classes to some extent suffer this at early levels.

The only real exception somewhat is rangers with -acc +range acc rings.

Wars scale well with acc though.

            Archers
            Snipers(still might be overly priced)
            Life belt
            Merman's gorget
            assult earring
            Af pants
            Knight gloves
            Heub/herk

            And of course aggressor

            Will all evenually be accessible

If you're staying a war/mnk with gaxe, then you don't get viking axes x2.

Those two axes really do put you ahead of the rest in terms of performance for a time.

Rangers are pretty much set to a comparable low price for equips. ammo and ninja tools though you're going to eat for the rest of your carreer.

Though hawkers seem to be skyrocking here... too many rangers these days.

I wouldn't go with an axe/shield combo, the damage output is less then acceptable and the weaponskills are crap until around Avalanche Axe. Even then it won't be that powerful.

Boost+Sturmwind makes for a really powerful WS that'll have hate for a while. Boost and any weapon skill is pretty strong so I guess Boost+Avalanche Axe will be about as powerful, but it's the normal hits you have to worry about.

Of course you can mess around with equipment. Say you have an avalanche axe, you might as well equip a swordbelt until you get darksteel which at that point you'll go back to life belt. This is favorable because you'll be replacing equipment with AF and you'll have a lot of redeemed money. War AF is great for tanking.

Assuming he want's to keep tanking

War/mnks quickly find they are not perfered after utsusemi ni for nins, and their ni spells and Paladin cover and flashes.

I think the zone was your prob...I went at 43 with similar gear (as a DRK) and my hit rate was about 60-70%...

really what I see is commen is people going to places really early (usually unaware) and not understanding why they do so little dmg or have low acc. Sure there are times when it works, but when I see a lvl 50 bitching about acc on robber crabs when there is no BRD in their pt nor are they a RNG, I have to wonder :dead:

                    I don't understand

I can't see how this is possible. What level's your sub? I miss so seldom that I've taken off a great deal of my acc gear for more dmg. AND I'M ELVAAN! especially all through the 30s, my accuracy was fair enough. I always tank by starting battles with shield break and then the accuracy is just rediculously good. I could end every battle with 85+ tp. Next fight, that's 100% with one swing of Greataxe and shield break again. Into 40s, parties killing faster and sometimes you see a 60% after battle, but now you have more accuracy gear available to you that you'd have no reason to pass up (lifebelt anyone?). But I digress.... apparently you have really bad karma or your sub needs leveled.

oh, and flies do prove troublesome. tried once at 41 and about got ill.

Well not everybody can afford the expensive equipment, but thanks for bragging. Let's all check Lmnpop the walking showcase of awesomeness.

i don't remember acc gears being quite expensive..

gorget for me was like 80k
                          viking axe x2 = 50k each
                          life belt = 80k
                          assult earring = 100k
                          knights mit = 50k

not really all that much, even if you can't afford snipers. Come 12/9 snipers are obviously on SE's anti-trust list.

                            Leaping boots = X
                            Empreror's Hairpin = X
                            Sniper's Ring = X

+3 dex, +2-6 accuracy (4 from CC boomerang +1 if not under nation's control)
that's it til 48 where lifebelt (and Viking's assuming /nin) come into play. Once again I play nice and get assaulted by Voila!'s assumptions.

EDIT: I never claimed to be a genius. I forgot as of level 40, there should be 2 more points of dex. That makes it +5 dex. That''s all.

We must have different definitions for playing nice, because the almighty holier than thou routine isn't covered under it.
