WAR Advice Please

Hehe, I know this might sound as if I'm taking over the thread and hopefullly not since I do have some questions a lot about what I need to do post 30 onwards with my WAR job. I'm thinking of leveing PLD/WAR/DRK to 75's.

My first question is, since WAR is such a versatile (sp?) class, they can pretty much use any subjobs there is out there, I'm planning on leveling THF/MNK/SAM/RNG/NIN to 37, is there a class that I should just totally forget leveling off out of that or is that a smart thing (I know it's going to take forever, but hey, I'm going to level 3 jobs to 75, might as well LOL)??

Past 30, I know what my role is as a PLD, but what's the role of the WAR past 30-40, then 50 onwards, DD or Tank???

Blink tank sounds good, but don't you need Utsu:NI for it to actually work(correct me if I'm wrong here please )??

And equipment. My PLD equip, (mainly focusing on VIT), will it be suffice for a WAR gear or should I concentrate on another stat (like STR and DEX)??

Weapons of choice are GAxe and Axe and I do love both, atm both are at 75 only and my War sub is at 31 (regardless of what my profile says :sweat: ). Is there a good place to level this skill at 30 to cap it at 93 just by soloing??

for a war sub job I'd take Samurai and Ragner off teh list since they dont give u much but more damage and if yur a half assed war you'll get TP in time for renkies without Meditate.

war is usually a DD, and a back-up tank, sometimes teh main tank, but thats only if theres not a half assed pld or ninja around. You'll do good dmg if u stick with double axes bro.

focus on STR and DEX, is good for DDing, if yur gonna Blink Tank you should macro in some AGI or EVA+ gear. the sad thing is samurais and drks will get the invites over you for DDing, and you'll only get a invite to be blink tank if theres not a pld or nin around. you'll also need sata so remember MPK ALLLLL THE PLDS YOU CAN FIND!! =DDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD

Nny is gonna have fun with this thread... again. When do people learn. War is a great tank, if played properly, and isn't a half assed pld or nin. Also, /nin is not that only tanking subjob for War..:mad:

ice, how did you get to 74 with that mentality? Drk for damge? You realize Drks are mediocre Damage Dealers till 60, and 65, where they become more of good SC closers. Not an efficient Damage Dealer? I've seen well equipped wars match Rngs on my parser... I'm sorry, but have you ever pted with a good war past 37? or read any other thread on the War forums? :confused:

War gets provoke and.... err... yea, it could hold hate with /rng but I doubt it! thf would be useless cuz all the technques would mean you'd have to be behind the mob. so sata is yur best freind. PLD is a waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay better tank and so is nin cuz if u sub nin you dont gain all the high lvl jutsus.

Skywing_, you're clueless, please stop posting about a job you don't know at all. In many cases a warrior will be a better tank than a PLD or a NIN.

Kalvin Klien, maybe you bought your account on IGE, because like Skywing_, you're clueless. Warrior is an awesome DD, outdamaging any DRK, anytime. And like I stated above, WAR can be a better tank than a PLD in many cases.

Stop posting uninformed crap on the boards, it just makes you look stupid, stick to what you know, and happy new year.

I'm tired of it as well. I'm not even going to bother anymore. Those who know what WAR is capable of get the benefits of better EXP. Those who don't get worse EXP.

Not my fault that people would actually choose to get worse EXP, but hey...it's their choice.
