My Gear

My gear is at the above. Working on a second sniper as we speak =\ So besides the second sniper hows my gear? Kinda iffy on the mantle and the boots but i have no idea what to replace with.

As for the second topic...upon 55 im going to be WAR/NIN for Rampage. But what about 60? Stick with Rampage? Or go WAR/THF for Raging Rush the at 71 (oops -_-; not 66) Steel Cyclone? Or go 55NIN>60THF>66NIN for Mistral Axe? Ive heard Mistral Axe is the better for the Renkei closer but is Steel Cyclone all around better? Im kinda confused on the whole WAR DD scene post 60. Thanks for any replies ^^

Steel Cyclone is the 71 quest WS. The 66 great axe ws blows.

Good gear - I'd invite you. Getting a Emp Pin, Valk Mask or Peacock Charm is nit-picking =)

War/Nin or War/Thf @60 as DD? I'm only 56, but I believe War/Nin does more damage. War/Thf still does good damage, but with added utilty from Sneak+Trick, and possibly Shield Break.

Depending on what you sub depends on what melees you have in your PT. Do not limit yourself to one sub or weapon.

Post 60:

RNG, DRK, WAR, SAM = /THF, Raging Rush

MNK = /NIN, Rampage

Post 66:

THF, MNK, DRK = /NIN, Mistral Axe (Mistral Axe is a STARTER, not a CLOSER).

SAM, RNG = /THF, Raging Rush (Sadly, no level 3 skillchain w/ them)

Post 71:

This is where it really goes down the drain. We finally gain a strong level 3 skillchain closer, but nobody to start it with.

THF can do Steel Cyclone > Evisceration, but it almost every instance, a light skillchain is better. Shark Bite is also a lot stronger then Evisceration, so THFs normally would rather do that.

You can do one with a DRG...but I have only seen 3 NA DRGs post 60. I can't even remember the last time I PTed with a DRG.

You can do it with a MNK, but if you're with a MNK then you should be fighting bones, if you're fighting bones then a light skillchain would be better.

You can skillchain with the tank, but I find it rediculous. Not only does the tank need to not have enough hate so the other melee's provoke turns the mob, he needs to not have enough hate so his WS doesn't turn the mob. So prior to the SC, hate won't be very secure.

So basically, you're going to start a light skillchain almost every time up to 75.

Though they will resist pretty much every skillchain effect, the best thing to use on Aura Golems is Darkness because they're light based enemies. The reason I single these out is because they're one of the only things IT at 75 and with a decent party you will be leveling on them a lot.

Are you use about that?

When camping Byakko's pop item, I was doing it with a THF...I don't recall Darkness breaking 100 damage.

Yup, I'm sure (I assume that's what you ment lol) though as I said they resist it all so much we don't even both with a renkei if there is no BLM present.
