tarutaru war/??? help me please

i am a tt war11/nin12 right now i want to get my war to lvl 37 so i can go all the way with ninja. my ? is what is the best wepon to use right now i am useing a GA. what is the best way to get to lvl 37 as a tt war this would be grately appricated.

For some funny reasons I always felt that DRG and RNG are good subs for attacking WARs from 20 - 30, after that, with a great axe, /THF is THE sub.

It's also good to have MNK for cases where crazy people expect the Taru WAR to tank.

Synbios, I share your feelings about /RNG from 20-30. Never considered /DRG tho. besides Jump at 20, what else would it give?

Yep, we don't get our own Attack Bonus until 30, sadly. >_> You could argue that /DRK also has AB but Jump > useless spells with crap MP pool, considering how long the delay of great axe is, an extra attack every 90 seconds isn't that bad.

RNG is probably the best subjob for every melee DD in the game from levels 20-30 for the simple reason that it'll give you +10 Accuracy/Ranged Accuracy from its job trait. It also gives you Widescan, Precaution, and access to ranged WS. If you stock up on +Ranged Accuracy gear to swap out to and you have fairly high archery, you might be able to set up Distortion and Fusion without having to sacrifice your Great Axe. It'd also help you land Sleep/Acid/Venom/Blind/Bloody bolts on the mob, which is great.

how about just axe sub seeing at 20 i will get 2 of them with ninja subed. its hard being a tarutaru. ninja and rng are the only 2 adv jobs i have unlocked.

Dual Weild is slightly overrated. I'm not saying it sucks, but because DW1 is just the sum of the delays, you'd be better off in terms of raw damage with a Great Axe. Of course, it does have redeeming points: You can equip a weapon that boosts accuracy/attack on your sub hand, you score an extra hit in your WS (although Sturmwind > Raging Axe either way,) and you'll have a different set of WS to choose from, including a Stun WS. It would also allow you to equip a sword in your main hand for skillchain purposes, and back it up with an axe so you don't do pitiful damage. It basically depends on the situation. Just thought I'd let you know ^^

If you are just trying to get your tarutaru warrior to 37 for sub later then I recommend you going War/Mnk. That combo will give you the best chance to survive as well as some nice stats and skills bonus while you are trying to get to 37 as a warrior.

If you will be using War/Mnk then I recommend using 2-handed axe. If you do not have monk as a job then you might want to invest a bit of time in getting mnk to 15 initially - its not hard to level monk to level 15.

I agree. The ammount of HP /MNK sub adds to you is pretty impressive. Don't forget to stock up on the armor with highest defense. I'd also recommend a Bomb Ring (Lv16 Def:2 HP+30 Fire-5,) Shield Earring x2 (Lv20 HP+10 MP-10,) Warrior's Belt (Def:2 VIT+1 HP+3,) Tiger Stole (Lv25 Def:2 Attk+5) and when you hit 30, Wrestler's Earring (Lv30 HP+30.) Oh, and whatever you do, don't use a Turtle Shield (Lv26 Def:4-ish VIT+3 AGI-6.) Trust me, losing that much AGI isn't worth it, even as a Tarutaru. If you're still taking too much damage, eat some fish Mithkabobs, or you could use an Axe and Shield and use Meat Mithkabobs to boost its damage. Don't be afraid to use Defender if you really need it - as long as you spam boost and Provoke whenever you get the chance you should get enough hate.
