war/nin 74 + one of the best jobs..

Imagine a war/nin 74 + best equipment there is.
it will have utsusemi-ni affcourse for blink tank but think about the gear it can wear. i'm talking about my fantasy's here. imagine a war75/nin37 with krakens club for fast tp gain and juggernaut in dual weild for uber damage ( juggernaut = + 30 damage ).
then a full set of war AF relic gear which gives + many stats and + a ton of enimity. an AA fight earring which upgrades dual weild effect. .... I really think this could be one of the best tanking jobs ingame ( can keep hate and will outamage pld, nin for sure.. don't forget warcry and berserk ) but then again, you will first need like 15 mil gil. ( though nin's have a little more evasion and pld's a little more def )

Actuallly relic gear isnt that great, some of it is but there is much much better stuff.

yes true but not for enmity and if war/nin 74 + wants to be a main tank it needs lots of enmity

Throw in kirin's osode + full god armor, adaman hauberk, and ridill, and you have the galka war that tanks for us^^

+emnity is overrated, better off getting armor that boosts damage so you can keep hate.

NIN do get a lot more evasion. Having played both now, on my NIN I probably evade or parry 10-40% of the hits from an IT mob depending on type. However, HNMs are much higher in ability than exp mobs compared to the player. I wonder how many hits NIN can evade in that case? I do know from exp'ing that as mob level rises the number of hits we evade drops dramatically.

And yeah, AF2 gear sucks. God gear is basically as good as it gets for tanking WAR.

Body: adaman hauberk and Kirins's osode
Legs: Byakko Haidate
Hands: adaman mufflers, sieryu kote, AF2 hands and dusk gloves
Feet: adaman sollerets, suzaku sune-ate, AF2 feet and dusk feet

Rings: Flame ring x2, Sniper rings x2 (no good for war, I use them on my DRK) and mermaids ring.
Neck: ryl. guards and bloodbead
Earrings: pigeon, +sword AA earring, pixie and arte del sol
Back: Behemoth mantle and Amemit+1
Waist: Lifebelt and +45HP hume belt

Main hand: Juggernaut, Earth Staff and Byakko's axe
Off hand: Ridill
Ranged: CC boomerang+2

Things I need: Herc ring(1m), 2x +5 vit rings(1m each), BBQ ring, bloodbead ring, cassie earring(800k), cursed hectacomb hands/feet/maybe legs (700k-1m each) and of course the peacock charm(7m)/kraken(22m)/speed belt(9m) dream equipment.


My thoughts on warrior: I love this class so much more then my craptastic DRK.
Honestly when I got Ridill, the class became so much better. In exp PT's it's so much easier to pull hate from ranger sidewinder with just a voke and a few seconds of combat. The damage overtime with Ridill is why I think it's so much better then kraken.

I'm thinking about selling my Juggernaut for a Woodville's axe.. that +30 atk aint all that great :/ I notice a small increase in normal hits but my WS DMG went down a decent amount.

No matter how good your equipment is.. you are never really a *desired* class for Fafnir/Nidhogg/King Behemoth/Byakko(without thf sub). I just play DRK/WHM for these 3-4 fights and use Ridill+souleater when I can. It's a good idea to lvl a 2nd class to play for these kind of things.
Warriors can do anything a ninja can in HNM fights, and in some cases much better. You have a pretty big role tanking Kirin and stuff like Aspidechelone

First level 75 warrior on Seraph eh? Thats pretty neat. The struggle must have been horrific.

Tell us how much your account sells for, huh? You could probably supply yourself with pizzas to last you a month or two with it. Although if you don't sell it, much repsect to you, BECAUSE I WILL BECOME THE NEXT LEVEL 75 WARRIOR OF SERAPH WITH FULL GOD GEAR.

You know I still really wonder about WAR/NIN. It may be i don't have Utsusemi: Ni, it may be i'm not 75, it may be i've never fought a God HNM. But really, if you don't go WAR/NIN just don't go?

I know you can take with a grain of salt my opinions but it's just that i can't believe one simple spell is what makes the difference. If this HNM are as incredible hard as they sound then i don't understand how Utsusemi even stands a chance against them. In a previous argument i stated that Utsusemi:Ichi was nothing incredible in the first few lvls you atain it, then ZQM stated that what makes Utsusemi work is a BRD's Elegy. Now i've read the Bard forums and they all say that landing debuffs on this HNMs is really hard. So out of pure guessing I dare to say that if you can keep Utsusemi Ichi and Ni up enough time to make a diff then you can clearly tank without it. Is it going to be easier? nope. Does it mater if you can? nope.

A few months ago there was this thread about WAR subs where ppl would only say: "Go NIN once you can dual wield axes and never change it". (Ok i'm exagerating but that was the general concept). Then after a few posts here and there a lot of ppl started noticing again that WAR/MNK can take you all the way to 75. In the THF's forums i was one of the ppl that suported the THF/WAR combo as usable all the way. At first they started saying that without utsusemi you would die pulling and stuff like that, then they said: ok yea you can do it and it works good.

In Kujata most players are not only single minded but are mostly lazy and cheap. I mean i've known WAR/NIN around 67 without utsusemi >_>. But they do WAR/NIN cuase "it's the best". And most ppl are the kind that only pick advanced jobs for parties and stuff like that. I know that comment is off topic but it really makes me wonder. I mean everytime i do a search all the WAR sub NIN. Some sub thf will farming. But i doubt they reallly know what's going on. I may be frustrated by all the lame WAR/NIN wannabes i know. But really....you can't tank those things without a NIN sub?

You tank Gods and HNM with full DEF, VIT, and -physical damage gear. Even a NIN gets hit every fight. It's near impossible for a NIN to blink tank a whole fight, so you can guess how hard it is for WAR. And you still need Utsusemi for them, even a PLD needs Aerial Armor to tank Gods. On most it'll wear off quick on most Gods, yes, but that's still less hits you take.

Hmm, speaking of Aerial Armor, I wonder how well WAR/MNK tanking Gods with Aerial Armor would be....
