DD Gear Dilemma, need input please.

Accuracy will raise your hit rate to a max cap, and the only way to raise that cap is with Dex. Lucky for you, Dex also adds accuracy. You might just have too much Acc, and not enough Dex.

That's a nice concept, but it has never been proven so it's just a theory.

I'm open to view tests and results on the subject though if you want to contribute.

Until then, I'll stick with my own theory

I don't really have a formula or anything but I do have an experience that kinda relates.

When I was lvl 49 and started to lvl my Axe skill on coffer runs. It was VERY underlvled (100 or so) and I couldn't hit the mobs hardly at all.. thankfully I had 2 Vikings and a life belt...helped a bit...I was still haveing some trouble hitting the mobs. So my DRK friend let me borrow his 2 snipper rings....nothing.. had basically the same acc as with my STR rings. I gave em back because he was leaving and decided to use the balance rings I had on me (just came from lvling sub and had all my THF stuff) right when I put them on I noticed a diffrence in hit rate. It wasn't night and day or anything *that* dramatic (the mobs were still IT to me and I had an underlvled Wepon).. the point is I noticed a deffrence. A much bigger diffrence than I got with the 2 snipers.

I plan to stick with Dex rings for DD now though. I don't have the gil for snipers anyway and figure +3 ACC and a slightly higher chance to crit, is reson enough even if DEX doesn't raise the ACC cap after all.

Problem, 6 dex does not = 3 ACC.

If +STR=+attack and +VIT=+DEF
Why not +DEX=+acc and +AGI=+evasion

seems logical to me. Alot more logical than the "soft cap" theory (no offence :sweat: )
