The closest I've come (which isn't very close) has been NIN/WAR NIN/WAR or NIN/WAR WAR/NIN. A WHM is only good for haste, divine magic, and an occasional curaga due to AoE attacks.

and -ra spells, -na spells, regen.. oh and i guess higher up Raise spells too :sweat:

though i'll admit WHMs aren't necessary post 41 since RDM starts to catch up MP-wise with refresh and Convert but that takes RDM away from enfeebling, and MBing.

As is I spend ~150 mp or so in the first 15 seconds of a fight. Regen 2, Dia 2, Bar spell, Hastex2. Tossing in needing to Paralyze etc, MB, and refresh you have a busy RDM...

I'd rather take a SMN with Fenrir unless we need dispel and don't have a BRD (in which case I'd pick a RDM) or if we need a high level -na and erase (then a WHM). Fenrir is awesome though, and stoneskin helps a lot when shit hits the fan for NIN tanks.

And my current set party is WAR/NIN, WAR/NIN, NIN/WAR. :p Though me and the other WAR are going /THF at 60 for dual SA Raging Rush.

I've seen a party of 4 Ninjas and a Monk. They were doing pretty good too, despite not having any healer...

Rawls, you missed my point entirely. With a party of front line ninjas, you don't need a WHM. They are basically a wasted position. What I didn't say was that WHM was a wasted job and not used for anything.

hmm all blink attackers and a brd... sounds kinda risky
Gonna give the mob ton's of TP ablilities, but might work earlier lvls.

I'd go nin/war war/nin (drk/thf mnk/thf or thf) brd rdm blm for a real power blinking setup.

Spinning Axe 100 > Raging Axe 250 > MB Firega 1350 + MB Firega 1350 + MB firega 1350 + MB fire 600

Ive been in a pt of this set up too.
Pld,War,War,Drk,Brd,Whm. Exp was 3800/h and we beat the crap out of Ladon with no renkei

that's a really fun idea, and personally i think it would actually lead to decent xp if you set it up right

but, on my server at least, it'll never be anything more than theory and entertaining speculation. post-60 nin and war are the two rarest jobs among NAs i have seen, with possible exception of SMN.
nin probly because its bloody expensive, and war.. well probly cause alot of NA are just dumbfucks who think we are shyte dmg, despite JPN absolutely loving war / nin ^^

however! i was in a pt last weekend..

ended up being about 16k in just over 3 hours
we pretty much just ripped through raptors, with an occasional pery. was a great time =D

honestly i cant recall a single instance of ever having more than 3 combined nin or war in a single pt, not counting valkrum obviously =\

My little rant on RDMs was... stupid of me.

If the main blink tanker can time out blinks then yeah a WHM wouldn't be needed except when/if things go sour.
