A Few Questions...

I have a lvl 13 WAR (bastok) and am having troubles finding an area to level.

Most groups in the dunes feel I'll suck XP since I'm two-three levels higher than them so they usually tell me no... or if I do join them, IT to them is usually T-VT to me, and I get relatively low XP.

I've considered heading back to the Highlands and just soloing. (I'm very sick of dying... died 24 times in two days in dunes )


Also: Weapon choice


Strongly considering DRK as my future job, so I've been leveling scythe, and even bought a GS.


Too bad the GS doesn't level for crap -_-

So I'm selling that and probably buying an axe of sorts due to what I've read. Great axe or Axe with shield?

Well it isn't that you're sucking EXP it's that the monster the party are able to handle are not strong enough with having a member at your level. Since EXP that everyone gets is controlled by the highest level present, and like you said they check as T-VT to you so the max EXP possible solo would be about 170 EXP. Since you are in a party though the amount you get will change by how many you have in the party.

So with 6 people that 170 EXP will be more like 50 - 120. The party can get good EXP still as long as they are fighting what checks as IT to you, but then surviving the fights will still be tough with only you as the highest level.

At higher levels past 60's the only two weapon types that have the highest rating for DRKs are Scythe's and GS's. The Axe is not as good a rating.
