weapon question

For a change of pace, I'm going back to my lv. 30 war again, but the problem is I leveled it back in the early days of the NA release, .....meaning everybody used whatever damn weapon they wanted to at the time.

That being said, I have no 1h axe or Gaxe skill at all. Should I try running around Valkurm and level it up to a competent skill level before using in Altepa or wherever? or should I use a Gsword instead? (since being a near 60 pld, i have that leveled a good bit)

What would you suggest?

Well it would be better if you used an axe/great axe, but to be honest you could get away with a great sword pre-40.

Agreeing is flattery

If you're patient enough, go level the Gaxe...
But if you're only levelling 7 levels it might be a bit pretentious ^^

Gsword will do as long as you keep it updated.
Bring shield and Axe tho, since if you're asked to tank, you'll use the axe and "sneak" skillpoints, with defender you're not doing any real dmg anyways ^^

Sort of agreeing/seconding former poster. Just a small addendum/preference from my side.

So tip would be: Level regular axe so you have at least the 2 first ws, then keep axe/shield as a back up, and go Gsword.
