Ok, I want to get an idea equipment list to save up for. ANALYZE the following and come up with what's better for Tarutaru WAR. My subjob choices are NIN, MNK, and soon I'll have THF. Obviously this is for an attacker role, as defensive gear is pretty straightforward.

level 50 right now, so obviously some of this equipment cannot be worn.

Royal Guard's Collar
Combat Caster's Boomerang +1
Sniper Rings x 2
Fang Earring
Assault Earring
Amemit Mantle / Sandorian CP mantle
Life belt
Royal Knight's Mufflers

Versus

Sun Rings
Royal Knight's Belt
Enkylados Bracelet

At this time I have Life Belt and Royal Knight's Mufflers.. I'm quickly approaching the CP mark to buy RK belt. Or I could buy Iron Musketeer sabatons and gauntlets for my upcoming PLD.

I don't believe the need for 2 sniper rings is necessary. Aggressor takes care of that, or does it?

You can never really have too much accuracy I guess, but I tend to agree that between Aggressor and often having Shield Break used WAR can put a little more to strength. That's why I'm keeping my STR+3 ring, but I will get a Sniper's Ring for the other slot. Currently working on farming that

Yeah, I've pretty much got all that EXCEPT those expensive snipers... ~400k on Quez now

I'm using 2 +3str rings and it helps dmg nicely... and its all good since i static with a bard.

I think you could swap a sniper ring with a str ring simply because adding more acc will at a point not give you any befenit especially from 50 to 60 where you can sub mnk and have aggressor/focus.

At 50, lifebelt, RK gloves, CC boomerang +1 and 1 sniper already give +22 acc and this should be enought to get almost all hits VS monsters you fight in a regular xp group.

Most war prefer lifebelt over RK belt, only job i know that use it are pld because their dmg output doesn't really matter unlike war that rely heavily on it.

RK collar is pretty much a standard piece that all melees that can equip it get at 55.

For the Enkylados Bracelet, i don't know. If i remember the stats those are +str and -dex/agi, so it probably a good piece as a attacker war and if you don't have too many problems on the missing since you lose the +3 acc of the RK gloves.

Not to be "levelist" but everyone saying snipers isn't important is high enough to wear them, but not higher than 50. Just an observation. :spin:

I did go ahead and buy one. I'm not going to buy two because I want to keep my STR+3.

I'm still not totally convinced that ACC+38 is that much better than my old ACC+33, but we'll see

acc or att effects are not significant by themselves. Any item in FF is not truly "uber", they are additive.

What matters is when you have many pieces of gears. Acc 5 might not be much - but IT HELPS TREMENDOUSLY if you have Acc 30, 40, or even 50.

Get a "feel" of what you think you need - and just work on it.
