Can you read my post... before you post?

I never said DEX was important... I said Accuracy was... please, please, READ the WHOLE post before you post... now, you made me look bad in front of all these people... because you thought I said DEX was important... when it's not. I said Accuracy is the most important, but, I think in certain situations that DEX is better because I rather have some Accuracy+ than none. Anytime I can get some extra hits in than none is OK w/me.

      war/nin best tank...and very expensive.

here is my requirement for war/nin:
[ this info is all from MY experiences with war/nin, not a lecture of how everyone must play war/nin. please dont interpret as the latter. ]

you will need to have a great axe always and max gax skill in case you are required to shield break for the party.
you will need 2 axes, buy the +1 for each hand...really. with double attack and dual wield, you will quad hit for a lot of damage.
you will need a supply of chiefkabob (6k/stack) for attack set up.
you will need supply of boiled crab (6k/stack) for defense set up.
you need to always have a few stacks of shihei (5-6k/stack) for utsusemi.
you will need attack set up gear for times you are not the shield for PT.
you will need defense set up gear for times you are the shield for PT.
you will need +attack belt (4k) for after shield break or if brd in PT.
you will need +accuracy belt (60k) for high level mob, no brd PT, or fail shield break.
(i tend to just use +accuracy belt most of the time. but in situation where brd + aggressor or something similar, dont need accuracy belt)
you will want to make /equip macro to toggle gear easily. warrior is very versatile job, dont limit yourself.
you will need to accomlish gobbie bag quests to have room for all your gear.
not necessity, but when you can afford is: item to remedy silence and paralyze. these two status effect make life difficult for war/nin.

i play with a static JP PT. i am 51war/25nin. at any time i can swap my attack and defense to suite the situation. if required of me, i have 400 def. if def not required of me, i have almost as high attack. only in tough situation is defender required. most of time, always keep berserk or aggressor active. only when our crazy rng/nin pull 2-3 mob do i sometimes use defender. and btw, warcry is a nice AE taunt for multiple mob aggro..... ^^

know how to use warcry...and time your provokes effectively. and dont ignore the stun WS ability. if your provoke and warcry are down when the mob turn to attack the crazy blm, smash axe it. besides, with axe i have stun WS for almost 300. who knew stun WS could hurt so much.

making utsusemi ichi last for long period of time is important also.
must make sure to start recast after lose second blink so as third blink disappear, you have finish recast. also be sure mages are debuffing immediately so you get the most out of slow, paralyze, blind, etc. any fail attack from the mob is equivalent to one blink.
besides, with utsusemi tanker, we dont require whm in PT and mage dont cure too much...so try to avoid being hit ^^
also, if your mages are not keeping war/nin with haste....demand so. haste shorten utsusemi time, very good.

well, war/nin may be too much expense/effort than its worth. but i love it and in leveling from 37-51 with the same PT, i have not died. we also do 4k-5kxp per hour with utsusemi tankers, excellent mages, and a madman puller.

Lolz Funguwari, you edited your post. Seems to me that you're upset over something.

What a great post =D The main differences cost-wise (comparing cost only) between War/Nin and War/Mnk are Ninjistu and Paralyze/Silence Antidotes.

I wish more ppl played with this level of seriousness =O I'm still waiting to PT with a top-notch War/Nin that can do it all. So far I've PT'd with:
          1) Gimp War/Nin (no food, no ninjitsu, gimped sub)
          2) Damage Dealing War/Nin (blink, attack food/gear only)

I find it hard enough keep both DD and Tank gear/food. Ninjitsu and Antidotes on top of that is crazy money/farming. Definitely baddass tho =D Props to you!

Grats on the set PT, too. Random gimp PTs are not worthy of the effort you put into your character. Peace.
