    Warriors were probably the job that got the most out of the new equipment.

    Earrings:

    Pilferer's Earring = DEX +2 = /THF
    Wrestler's Earring = HP +30 = /MNK

    the Pilferer's Earring will help out a lot, since DEX will help with ACC, Sneak Attack, and Crits. Wrestler's are decent for tanking, though (unless you're a tarutaru) +30 HP isn't normally life or death.

    Belts:

    Sarashi = Enhances "Dual Wield" effect = /Nin
    Katana Obi = "Store TP"+1=| /SAM

    Deffinatly great gear for /NINs and /SAMs. Enhancing Dual Wield (I'm assuming subtracts another .05 from the equation) will make dual wielding axes/swords that much better. Store TP will allow for you 60+ SAMs to get to that 100% TP quicker after the initial Shield Break.

    All of these are level 30's and dropped from the new BCNMs.

    Those dex earrings look nice. +8 to dex? w/ 2 rings and 2 earrings? Sounds good to me.

    Probably cost a fortune...

    I seen the Belt for sale, someone had it sold it for 50k. Person who bought it sold it for 800k...lol

        Sneak attack as a sub doesn't depend on dex. It just lets you land a normal critical once every minute.

        Most WARs or melee damage dealers wear lifebelt after 48 and never take it off so those belts might not be that useful.

          I checked the Earrings last night, they are a Latent Effect. What is the effect? I don't know how they really work.

          Doesn't seem worth it to me.

            I picked up the Wrestler's Earring last night for 15k. Think 30 HP is worth that much? Or would the +attack earrings that my DRG also uses be better?

              You have to have a certain subjob for it to work. See my first post to see what subjob works for what item.

              GS = I think it really depends on what your fighting and how good your party is. If you're fighting something that can one-shot you until critical, I'd take the +30 HP. If you're in a crappy party where you are in critical alot, I'd take the +30 HP. Otherwise, deffinatly +ATK.

              Xien = I'd personally take the Sarashi if I ever level my WAR/NIN again. Accuracy can be made up in a lot of other slots, however there aren't many +haste items.

                Latent effect means you will recieve the bonus at low hp (below yellow I believe).

                    Latent effect kicks in when your HP is in the yellow and you have less than 100% tp.

                      True, but unless you plan on wielding a viking axe in your offhand till death, the +10 accuracy in your waist is a lot.

                      Comparison:
                      +10 accuracy from sniper rings 600k avg. on Fairy
                      +10 accuracy +otherstuff from Haubergeon 1.5M on Fairy
                      +2 (or 3?) accuracy from assault earring 200k

                      +10 accuracy from lifebelt , 50k.
                      +10 accuracy -10 evasion from viking axe, 60k.


                      Pre-48, it might definately be worth checking out since there's really nothing much for damage dealers other than swordbelt. After that though, it depends on what type of mobs you're fighting. High IT mobs might require the lifebelt. Who knows? Lifebelt is cheap enough anyway :D

                        Yeah, it'd deffinatly be a good idea to carry around (and use it with a weaponskill, since you'd want all hits to land).

                        Also-

                        Lightning Bow+1 (Bow, Dex+3, 300K I think?)
                        Merman's Gorget (Neck, Acc+5, not sure of price :sweat: )
                        Peacocks Charm (neck, Acc+10, 3.5 mil :p )

                        Also, the latent effect is rumored to be affected by subjob. I personally haven't gotten any yet (Failed Yughotto BCNM30 (SAM, BLM, RDM), going to try Giddeus later), but posters with a good reputation have said this.

                          Why would they change what latent effect means this late in the game? Doesnt make sense to me...

                            The belts mght be nice to use since the war can offset the lifebelt using a viking axe and if you dual wield viking axes well might as well use sword belt or the dw enhancing one.

                            Latent effect worked when your hp were in yellow and if you had lower than 100%tp. Never tested those, maybe the way these works got changed.

                            Since latent effect was pretty much meaning garbage this is why the JSE lvl 50 rings and lvl 70 earrings we're going for 5k or less each, even if some of these had pretty nice bonuses on them.

                            As far as war acc, shield break is your best friend and once you get to 45 with agressor and /mnk 25 (war 50) you can tell goodbye to your acc problems.

                            The +2 dex earring isn't worth much since you can pickup +3agi earrings at 35. +30hp is nice if the latent effect kicks in pretty good.

                            Just found out that the new stuff latent effect was activating depending of your sj and not like some other latent effect.

                            I think the +30hp is very nice for war/mnk from 30 to 60, if you look at other stuff like the bloodbead earring that add +25hp and go for 200k, 15k is a bargain.

                            The +2 dex one is ok, but since i get asked to tank 90% of the time i don't sub thf that much.

                            On the belts, the dw belt is defenatly usable since we can offset the +10 acc of lifebelt with other weapons like a viking axe post 48. Pre-50, i'd rather use mnk sub and thf subs when it comes to grouping.

                            The sam belt isn't that usefull because you will need the lifebelt with the great axe and the sam sub doesn't offer as much as mnk, nin or thf before lvl 60 for meditate
