Why Brynie?

This is a trick I use for Sneak & Invis, just start casting the spell and then cancel the current one as you are casting.

Unfortunetly I do not have NIN at 37 to try this but could you start Ichi, then hit numpad+ numpad+ (i play on the compact keyboard) and cancel the Ni if the monster actually ended up missing you?

Of course when you do go thru so many blink powders this can become quite strenuous to do constantly.

Boredom post, but you don't need to cancel your current invisilbe if you're casting it because it auto cancels once you cast it then you will get the invisible effect(not sneak, invi). Maybe you know but I've talked to level 60 people who don't know this ( works for tonko too )

Yeah, this is standard ninja procedure, but can be tricky to pull off and needs loads of concentration (relatively speaking). For starters, depending on the timing of the mob's attack, by the time it misses and you cancel it might be too late, leaving you with one shadow. And sometimes the mob does an unexpected attack 0.1s before you cancel, and you end up cancelling berserk, or protect, or some other buff you have on yourself :spin:

i am 51war/25nin mithra. i am hope to equip byrnie also.
i prioritize in following order: attack, defense, accuracy, evasion.

warrior can never have enough hate, so attack i put first~damage is hate.
war/nin doesnt take too much hits, so defense is your fail safe.
accuracy....aggressor + life belt.
evasion, when it works, gets that one extra blink. very nice, but you cannot ensure the math goes to your favor because its a %chance to evade. so defense is first because you can ensure that math is your favor.

evasion, i put last as war/nin for priority...but i wont use -evasion armor either.^^

this is what works for me up to level 51...and it could change later for me and could be wrong thinking for other player of different style or set up. but just throwing some thoughts out there for people to consider.

Ok mabey I don't know what I am talking about but I think a war should always get a Haubergeon over a Brynie.. some of you said get a Brynie if tanking but I wouldnt reason being is that your AF chest piece which is the same lvl has 1 more def gives + vit and doesnt lower defense along with +8 enmity is very nice if going to tank and if not tanking then the haubergeon is better to use for damage dealing aspect of gear... or atleast thats the way I see it.

I agree, you will never see me in a Byrnie. AF for tanking, Haubergeon when attacking (when I get it).

Call me crazy but I'm currently saving for a Byrnie at 60. More WARs on Fairy seem to have this equipped than Haubergeon/Hauberk. The way I'm thinking is I have plenty of accuracy already, but 20 attack (which will be more like 40 after Berserk and kabobs and bard) will help close the gap with DRK's additional attack ups.

Plus Byrnie just looks cooler

Eventually I'll get Byrnie+1, before hopefully working towards something truely nice

Warrior AF is a little weird looking, but it has better stats than Byrnie. I think that they just want the Byrnie for the +ATT and the part that covers their stomach.

From what I saw, or rather heard from a friend who took logs, that a WAR on my server who has a byrnie, only has a 50percent hit rate... Probably didn't have snipers though, but it seems early sixties, accuracy is needed, alot.

Just wondering, kind of offtopic, are snipers needed for WAR?

I switch off between dex and str rings and every WAR I have checked (high level) wears STR+3 rings or something like that. So I was wondering if we really needed them, or is a lifebelt and aggresor good enough?

Like the other poster said you dont realize how hard it is to hit Coreauls at Onzozo.Having +10 atk,accuracy,+5 STR and DEX definately outweighs the extra attk bonus,+3 STR and VIT that a Brynie has.Brynie also deducts your DEX by 3 which isnt too ideal for any melee imo.

For me I rather use STR rings instead of Sniper rings just because I have a Haubergeon,along with the rest of my equip to have my accuracy up to 30+.Along with Aggressor I usually see no problems with getting hits in and I also seem to hit more frequently then other melees with with close to the same equip along with 2 snipers.I hit just as much or even more then them usually in a exp party.So if you already have accuracy covered up to 30+ you dont really need any snipers.

WAR is all about flexability Nameless, and personally I believe all WAR's should have a set of +STR rings, Sniper's Rings, and some kind of def rings (Phalax or +VIT, your choice) This would allow you to switch your equipt as needed and would be a huge help
