Weapon choice

Hey i decided to go back to my warrior that I lvled up to 30 in the beginning for advanced jobs. I was a sword and shield warrior so sword is capped, but then i heard about how devastating GA is, so i managed to get that up into the 60's i think. I'm really liking the idea of War/Nin, but was curious about weapon choice. I plan on getting and keeping GA maxed, but was wondering about what to do for dual wield. Is switching back and maxing out 1h axe from 0 skill really worth it, or are my maxed out swords sufficient for my 1h needs? Thanks in advance!

short answer: yes.



axe has some really good skills later on, and later, around lv50 you'll more than likely be expected to have an axe too.

Definately, I keep Axe and G Axe up to date at all times, but really which weapon you use depends on the PT. WARs are invited to parties to fill a variety of roles. I'm generally invited to be the Trick Attack dummy and to Spam Shield break, but more and more often after I hit lvl66 I find myself being asked to use 1h axe to execute Mistral Axe > Shark Bite with the THF which is a great SC.

So... if you plan on playing WAR at the high end, then yes, I would ABSOLUTELY level up Axe, you'll be happy you did ^^
