War/thf below 30 is often viewed as the lazy road to 30 war and then -> advanced job. Level war to 18, thf to 15 so you get treasure hunter for farming, and then sub thf to war till 30.

This way you don't have to deal with leveling mnk.

It's a ok combo till 30, war/mnk is better but some players prefer to take the lazy route.

Yea on midgrad server people seem to care about advance jobs after lvl 50...It really pises me off at times.How many WARS do you see in Full AF against drgs and drks...Im lvl 56 war and i took hate off hate from a pld in full AF with darksteel axe and Rampage,I mean come on now dont you people get tired of drks and those drgs flying around all the time???I know at lvl 60 raging Rush Owns. WAR THIEFS and MONKS get no love after lvl 50..its so wack and lame...Pentathrust is overrated,give us wars some love :D

Show those dragoon whos the boss, use focus/aggressor together (well if they stack) and begin you penta spam, with that accuracy you got, you should get close to 50% tp return each time.

A bit speculating, but it could be fun.

But i tend to agree that war get passed over for advanced class a lot of times, simply because if you have a very specialised group you will rake more xp.

Advanced job are more specialised that a war, drk/drg/sam will deal more dmg but you can tank better than them, pld is a better tank than war but war is a better dmg dealer.

No Samurai is outdamaging a warrior sadly, unless its a particularly sad equipped warrior vs a great equipped samurai. Warrior will outdamage DRG too sadly, DRK is sort of a toss up with soul eater providing a slight edge, but WAR has very good abilities to improve damage output too. Honestly I feel many of the advanced jobs are too specialized, and the generalist that is a warrior outclasses them because of this. Warriors do great damage, fit into skillchains easier, get literally the best job abilities and traits - why else do you think WAR is basically the best sub job for mostly all melee jobs?

Your LS is a bunch of short bus riders. If when I started I knew what I know now about the game, I would've went warrior all the way over Dragoon no contest. Sort of just sticking it out for now, but definately plan on leveling warrior to 75 once I level DRG to 75...or when i give up on Dragoon, whichever comes first.

Stick it out. Until S-E fixes some of the advanced jobs, WAR is definately one of the best jobs to be. Anyone who says otherwise is seriously uninformed.

I'm at 46 war right now and most advanced jobs kinda offer more dmg to a party than me. Sam got meditate, drk got soul eater, drg got jumps and soon penta (even if it's over rated).

They even have berserk cause they have war subbed, many groups also ask me to sub nin for tanking and dmg wise this isn't the best sub. On hate generation, nin sub kinda lacks too.

I think war really shine post 60 with nin and sam sub and at this level drg and sam begins to get shafted, the sooner you become powerfull the more you end end sucking in the end. Kinda like rdm is FF 1, at start it's a good melee fighter, he learn the best spells of whm and blm, but in the end he's weaker, he deals less dmg and does not have access to lvl 8 magic and very few lvl 7 spells.

War is somewhat similar to drk, you really start to shine post 60, and maybe a bit at 50-55 (focus, rampage).

My war is on break right now, i got a few bad groups that left a bitter taste and a weird working schedule so i can't play much during US primetime (6 pm east to 3am east). So i'm leveling subs and, it's weird, i get invites from JP groups on my blm, quite a fun experience i must say.
