Neckchopper

I'm a LVL 24 WAR/12WHM and I've been using a GAX ever since I could. My current GAX is getting weak and I'm thinking about buying a new one. The next in line is the Neckchopper but it costs a whopping 30k. But with that price you get ACC+4 I think was that stat, maybe more. I was wondering if anyone had bought this weapon and if so, is it worth it?

With that and chainmail I will be one broke WAR.

it's tough having no money but you should do an equal amount of farming when you level. that way you can keep up with your equipment. you're more likely to find a party if you keep your equipment up to date than if you didn't. this is important especially for melee who must, at some point, do some tanking (either as a main tank or to pull hate off of a mage) you won't find a party if you're stilling wearing a brass harness at level 19.

I guess the main question here is, how the heck am I going to make 30k in a timely manor?

That would be awesome, I hear thats next to impossible. I wonder if I can manage this at lvl 24 with a solid party.

Skip chain mail. Too expensive. Keep your beetle armor until level 27 and get Brass Scale armor. It's much more affordable. I started saving for chain mail when I was level 23-24 and I didn't have the gil for it by the time I was level 27, so I just bought the Brass Scale armor. I had already bought parts of the chain armor, and after getting Brass Scale, I had wished I had just saved my gil.

Be sure to save your gil for Royal Squire or Centurion's armor for level 30.

My DEF is around 119 and my
ATK is around 96.
All unbuffed. I need to get my ATK back up.

P.S. I forgot to mention that if you can, save your CP and buy high level armor with it. If you're from San d'Oria, you can get Royal Squire's armor with your CP. If you're from Bastok, you can get Centurion's armor with your CP.

I'm from Windurst. I am not really sure what is available for purchase from Windy. Jeuno has been my home away from home for the last few days so the next time I hit Windy I'll find out. Unless I can ask a Jeuno WW?

I think Chainmail is very worth it at 24, it well last you all the way to 30, Brass well only last 3 lvls, plus, Chainmail just looks damn good :D

I was thinking of buying the Neckchopper, Im lvl 24, about 1k away from 25 where I could buy the Plantbane.
Is it still worth buying the Neckchopper and taking it all the way to 30 instead of the Plantbane?
Ill either get Neckchopper, or Plantbane with a Balance Ring

I picked up Plantbane and liked it a lot. Against Mandragora's I occasionally get an extra bit of damage due to it's latent effect.
