Avenger's Earring for a War/Mnk?

Does anyone here have any experience with these earrings?

It says Counter-attack 1 (I assume +1), but a post at allakhazam might lead you to believe they give a chance to counter (like the ability) without the ability. I would assume not and that it just adds +1 to counter, if so, does anyone know how much this helps the counter ability?

Would it be worth wearing at lvl 42 if you where a War/Mnk? I would think a better chance for a tank to counter more often would be fantastic.

The same trait is on the Monk's AF pants so maybe a MNK can help me here too.

If you have it as Monk main it works pretty well, not so good as a sub job. If I was you I would only use those rings for soloing it's the best reason to use them I don't know about PT's uneless you know your going to be taking hit's use it
