    Will this work?

    when the ps2 version comes out I am going to start as a Warrior
    then when i et a sub job be a Warrior/Monk then when i get my advanced job im going to be a Paladin/Warrior.

    Is this a good choice if i want to be a Tank?

    Yes

    Even though I don't play the game I've read a lot and PLD/WAR seems to be the best TANK

    It seems like for a Paladin to be great he/she have to use WAR as a subjob cause of Provoke, there's other skills which are useful but provoke seems to be the most important in everyones eyes

    You shall be overwhelmed by the arrogance that disfigures you...

    You shall be consumed by the cowardice that binds you...
    You shall be defeated by the apathy that plaques you...
    You shall be twisted by the envy that drives you...

      Yes, that would make a good Tank.
      As for race, alot of peoples opinions differ when it comes to Paladins. Elvaan, Galka, and Hume seem to be the top choices for Paladins, and each one is good in an area, so choose which ever you want to play.

        Galka, Elvaan , Hume/Mithra all work fine as tank. Sadly TaruTaru doesnt work as well.
