how many weapons can you hold at once in your inventory that you have access to and can switch between at any given time in a battle

Don't think there's a limit - I've got a sword, grt sword, axe and grt axe in my inventory at the moment.
As long as you have space in the inventory, can't see there being a limit. -
There is also the Gobbiebag quest to increase your inventory size, first Gobbiebag quest adds 5 slots or so."We grab swords to protect small wounds that had been buried deep in old memories."
