Spears and Warriors?

I intend on becoming a dragoon as soon as I can. It would be easier if I could already fix my game, but I was wondering if using polearms and Warriors went well together. It would be cheaper if I just had polearms since I'm going to be a dragoon. But is it a good match? I'm lvl 2 WAR right now and so I have like no money, how expensive are polearms and were can I get them. Take it easy on me, I'm a newb. Thanks

Just like almost every weapon imaginable, The Warriors can wield them and do ok with them as well as with the case of polearms... But as for buying them and such I would look at your Local Auction house and see what they are charging for one... As for the eternal question of how to get gil, Do some quests that you can do at your level and find some of the quests that are repeatable... And if your region dominates your area outside fo your town (you can check this in Region info,) You can ask one of the guards to give you signet so you can start harvesting crystals from enemies... Get a bundle of 12 and you can easily make 200-300 gil starting when you sell the bundles at your auction house...

how do I get signet? I asked my Taru friend Rupart and he told me to see a gaurd with "W.W" at the end of his name. Where is this gaurd? And how can I make a marker one my map so I can always tell where he is? Thanks.

The gurads are located at every gate that exits your home town so you don't need to put a marker on them

really? Then is there a certain requirement to get signet. Because I talk to the gaurds and all they say is "The definiton of fool is somone who.." Blah blah blah. So how Do I make them give me signet? If it helps I'm in windurst.

You might have to ask around the different guards but you should be able to get a menu off of one of them... That says Cast signet atc...

In Windurst the guards that cast signet have w.w. after thier name.

I was skilling up some weapons in Quicksands 2 nights ago and decided to get Penta Thrust for spear. (My job is war/sam 62/31) I have found out something interesting.... With penta thrust, you gain around 60% TP back. Now with samurai 30 sub, you can use meditation skills which will add 60% TP out of thin air. Now this is what i did: gained 100% TP > meditate > Penta Thrust (gained 60-72% back and meditate now working to its charging up) > 100% TP > Double Thrust. Yes solo renkei/skill chain without samurai 2 hour ability ^^

Ive also heard people do this quite a while ago. Since I'm not exactly a fan of spears, I'm pretty much clueless about high lvl spear ws. Can't one of your hits for penta miss and then screw up your renkei since you won't get as much tp back as you wanted?
