another help me choose thread

ok guys, I've never played FFXI for any long period of time. perhaps a bit at your local LAN store but only for a few hours. basically I need some advice before the 28th on what sort of class I should choose for my Galka. I was thinking perhaps starting with warrior and then subbing thief once I was at a high enough level. any suggestions on what class to start with?

Ok, lets begin with the basics...

A Galka has well above-average Strength and Defence. Because of this, their Health Points are also high. I'm not saying Strength raises your Health Points count, I am saying as though the race through evolution -_-

So, melee and tanking should have already came to mind as you read. This should put Warrior and Monk in your sight, if not, read it again.

Now, considering you already have Warrior/ Dark Knight chosen under your name, you have the idea. But Galkas have a very low MP count when a magic driven job is chosen. So if you decide to take Dark Knight or Paladin, don't rely on having equal Magic Points as other races of Paladins your level.

So the best choices of a Galka if not biased against a class, would be Warrior or Monk.

So, I leave you with the decision of which road you take, for it is your destiny in which must rely on your shoulders.
