i was thinking of taru taru thief/dark knight..opinions please....

Keep in mind that Taru's have low HP and low attack power. It will be very hard/fustraiting to LV a taru THF at low LV's. I wouldnt choose DRK as a sub for THF b/c the whole point of a sub job is to further enhance hour main job right? The only thing DRK would do i add to your attack, and by the time you could get DRK your attack is already insanely high in renkei's anywayz...

don't forget about Thief/Ninja, that could be a good combo, but who knows for sure, I don't have the game.

Because what I plan on doing, is being a Theif/Monk till about lvl 30, and then switching to Theif/Warrior until I get Ninja.

Since thiefs aren't magic users I wouldn't sub a magic job.
And if you wanted a good thief I wouldn't go taru, unless you want to laugh at how fast the little guy moves.

my friend does not want to be a mithra so thats the next best choice...and hume is slower and has lower dex then a taru taru

A taru Theif wouldn't be a bad idea, IMO, but subbing a Dark Knight would leave the you extremely vulnerable. You'd be better off subbing Monk, or Warrior.

DKN/THF is acceptable, if you are atleast lvl 30. Because then you will get the thief's ability that lets you get better items.

You do also know you have to lvl up your subclass sepritly from your main? Thus to have a lvl 15 thief sub, you must first have thief as your main and lvl it up to 15... Just so at lvl 30 you will be a 30DKN/15THF....

It was just recently proven to me that DRK/THF is actually a very good idea.
