Opinion on Thief

Basically, I would like the opinions on the following subjects: A)Thief/Monk or Monk/Thief? and B) Elvaan or Mithra as the race for a Thief?

First off, stat wise, Monk has +213 HP, +2 STR and +8 VIT over Thief. Thief has +3 DEX and +10 AGI over Monk. What I want to know is does that +2 STR or +3 DEX make that much of a difference? or does a +2 in STR mean the difference between dealing 50 or 70 points worth of damage.
Secondly, which abilites are more usefull?The Monk/Thief's lv45/60 "Martial Arts", lv51 "Kicking", lv35 "Chakara", and lv41 "Energy Projectile" or The Thief/Monk's lv45 "Treasure Hunter II", lv55 "Triple Attack", lv35 "Pickpocket", and lv45 "Hide"

For part B) Is it worth giving up the STR of the Elvaan for the DEX/AGI of the Mithra. In other words, which is more important in the game, having higher STR or higher DEX/AGI.

I know its alot to ask, but I would greatly appreaciate your opinions. Thanks in advance.

stats aren't that difference later on at higher levels :D there's tons of items that can boost stats.
For addition, stat doesn't make THF much different from each others. It is THF's abilities that make them really very powerful. Galka THF are still great


around level 30-33 THF will get their first powerful dagger WS (it sucks without THF's abilities) so from that point on dagger will be your main weapon. /WAR works better than /MNK at this point. Tons of useful abilities, nice bonus to STR, so on.


you need /MNK only for the punching's WS around level 50. And the only time you would punch at that level is when you fight skeletons.

MNK as main, you can be taunter with /war. if there's already enough taunter it's not bad for a MNK to /THF for their abilities.
