I'm leaning toward the idea that you can just swap your THF Hands before the end of the fight, since you'll be generating hate just by damagin whatever huge NM you're fighting and doing Collaborator/Accomplice anyway.

I'm thinking the same thing. I think all you need to do is generate enmity with the TH4 by the time the mob dies. I don't think having it on at the beginning and then switching out is enough. I think once you swap out, you lose all "properties" you'd get with that weapon. However, if you swap it in and have it active with enmity when the mobs dies, you're golden.

I would agree that swapping the gloves closer to the monsters demise would still let TH4 kick in.

I would assume whenever loot is decided is when TH is taken into consideration.

When exactly does that happen?
